Re: Girton Road Car Park
Unfortunately, the clean up is taking longer than we originally hoped - there is a lot of it. However, as soon as this has been completed, the concrete sleepers will be fixed into place. These are long, thick, heavy blocks of concrete that will be positioned at the entrance to the lower car park to...

Maybe the pain killers would help soothe the brain-freeze if you have a dodgy filling in your mouth!

Re: NO TRAINS THIS WEEKEND
I know some people call it the wooden bridge but most born and bred call it The German Bridge. As a lad going to and from Forest hill boys/Dacres road boys School I used this bridge on a daily basis, to and from School. We knew it as 'The German Bridge'. It's wooden on the surface but built on a st...

Re: Girton Road Car Park
We don't hear about it, but it does happen. A group of travellers were parked in the car park at my gym for about two weeks. They were tidy and polite and left the place as they found it. Thanks Rachael, fair play to that group of 'respectful travellers' it would be nice to hear more when this happ...

There seems to be a lot of building refuse and general junk accumulating . You can see where a large fire has been lit Glad to see they are living up to the stereotype... Yes Willy, by the sounds of it they certainly are. The truth is that in many cases they have stereotyped themselves: Here's anot...

Re: Tricking and treating
This reminds me of an episode from Everybody Loves Raymond (US sitcom) where he'd bought condoms individually colourfully wrapped and had to hurriedly put them in a kitchen cupboard when rushing out. His father was babysitting and when treats near the front door ran out, he rummaged in the cupboard...

Re: Girton Road Car Park
I have just seen an enormous caravan arrive in the car park. Is anything being done to stop more coming in ?? Obviously not - not without the court order that is! Let's hope it won't take too much longer as there is a chance of more arriving all the time the word is getting around and there is more...

Stuart - Well said. A brave and sensible post which will no doubt be either utterly ignored or have scorn heaped upon it. People do have the right to be concerned HB, lets face it not all experiences from traveller sites have been good ones. I have cleared a site after travellors vacated so do have...

Re: Sydenham house prices up by 50k?
Reading the 'Metro house rise' report it does state that this is an average increase over the last month and averagely over the whole of London too. Did something different happen last month? Maybe there a lot more 'Expensive' houses sold last month to push this figure up, for some reason? Maybe the...
