Birds of Prey at the Devonshire Road Nature Reserve

Postby Ronski » 1 Feb 2009 17:10

They had a great bird of prey display on this morning. Even though it was freezing the sun came out for a bit as it started to snow & it was well worth loosing feeling in my fingers to get some shots. I think it's a yearly thing.

Great pics. Well worth braving the cold. The birds were magnificent. And I've got to mention the brave boy who had a hawk land on his head & didn't even panic. Cool.

Yeah I saw that, very funny. All the kids looked like they really enjoyed it, not every day you have a bird of prey land on your head as well. I hope one day Lewisham open up the Dacres Road Nature Reserve closer to us.

Let's not forget Gonzo the Vulture...

Made me laugh when one kid asked what's he eating...'that's Chicken Little, some times he'll eat Stuart Little as well'
