Bees!

Post by chrism »

We've got a bee infestation. They are in our flat, getting through closed windows, we've all been stung.

What does one do? I take it bees are protected. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Chris

Sounds nasty.

Are there any beekepers nearby. I believe their is one in Dacres Road and probably many others. They may have the skills to assist you.

How fascinating, if not necessarily exactly desirable.

It was on CSI (US tv prog) that it's better to scrape out a bee's sting if left in you, as tweezing it out releases the venom. It also said that smoke used by bee keepers didn't hurt but disoriented them, i.e. meant they couldn't send messages to one another about any threat alert so didn't swarm to attack.

Can you save a specimen? (In case smelly rotten hornets.)
