Hmm. You could try the shop inbetween Lidl and Co-op that has machines outside. I've used them before.

Perhaps be warned that washing machines can be considered "beyond economic repair" especially if it's the bearings (some machines take hours of dismantling just to get at the bearings) or of course if spare parts are no longer available; also a new programmer even without fitting cost will clock up £100+. A posh newish machine could be worth repairing - your decision.

I think they have a call-out charge now, whether it can be mended or not, so could you get it to them (with prior notice given of course)? Also a new programmer (just bought as a part without labour fitting cost) can cost over £100, so the question really does come down to whether it's worth repairing.

I've bought a secondhand refurbished one from them as a stop gap which was fine for a year or two.
