Be interesting to see how the amended plans deal with parking provision and refuse/cycle storage for the additional dwellings, given the original permission was presumably assessed on the lower unit count. Also worth checking whether the extra storey pushes the building height above what's normally considered acceptable next to a public park and any protected sightlines.

Does anyone know if this will go through as a fresh full application or a variation of condition on the existing consent? No, but our current MP, Liam Conlon, appears to have done. FINALLY a quarter-hourly service on Saturdays again from this December.

Anyway, that wasn't why I was posting. In an attempt to get round the traffic chaos in the Cobbs Corner area today, I decided to get the train from Penge West to Forest Hill. I was surprised to see that there weren't any Southern trains scheduled for at least the next half hour, only Windrush ones. Place is a little larger and roomier than the equivalent in Beckenham with plenty of space in the aisles and on the first day plentiful staff were busy looking after customers and re-stocking shelves. Range of stock was very wide with what I was sure were some new lines.

Cheese and bread selections were outstanding.
