Re: Billings Fishmonger and NOW BUTCHER!

I love the fishmonger and I love a butcher. But said, would prefer a buthcer next to a fishmonger, not the same in one small shop where you mix cutting boards knives etc.... I will still use them, do not get me wrong, just would prefer 2 separate that would have larger choice and specialise. my opin...

Re: SAYING YES TO THE MOSAIC ON THE NABORHOOD CENTRE?

Thank you Lee, So assuming the costs you can definitively give and adding a 47% opportunity cost for paint, grease, tiles flyers etc. gives a resource requirement of £3000. This would "rejuvenate" 16 shops for £50k. It is my opinion, but that would be an impressive and committed effort to improving ...

Re: SAYING YES TO THE MOSAIC ON THE NABORHOOD CENTRE?

The expression "polishing a turd" comes to mind when I think of the mosaic. It will not change the landscape of the highstreet, the perception of the highstreet by locals nor the "hideous" building it will be placed on. This is not a value added activity and this money could and should have been spe...

so, fresh vegetables placed on a fresh baked roll with cold cuts and designed exactly as you request is yucky???? I then suggest you try a different selection as you have chosen the sandwich... Seriously though, give it a shot. You get to choose what eat from there, if you don't particularly like th...

A subway is better than a kebab shop in my opinion. I accept that it is my opinion. Everyone is unhappy about everything... Kente was terrible until the details surrounding the window were sought... ( it is a wonderful place and I love it) It is a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy in that the negati...

Today the upstanding (or sitting at first) quality street drinkers verbally abused my wife and 4 year old daughter on their way home from getting their haircut and doing some local shopping. It all started from him throwing a lemon (must have been Pimm's day) at her as she walked by. She asked him t...

I'm in.... why not have a goal meter for these initiatives? We can have the proposed changes costed and have a "thermometer" showing the contribution towards the goal. Once reached you can then have a countdown until completion and a "Nip/Tuck" party when all finished. Our voice can only changes so ...

Like the sign and the new door to the apartments. I would prefer NOT to have the writing on the windows and think it would ruin the view from the inside. Other than that, I like the warmth and simplicity, I also really like the coffee and service inside. I really think we should create / start a fun...

Stopped in today and was very pleased! The coffee was delicious and the service was very friendly. The patio in the back with four tables is nice and offers just a little retreat from the street without having to go to the Dolphin. For all the grief about the window, it is quite nice to sit and peop...
