My birth certificate for 20 October 1936 shows me being born at 390 High Street, sub-district Catford and my mother residing at 6 Hurst Cottages. Does anyone know whetherthese addresses still exist as things have changed so much in that area?

Thank you for the map Steve. It is a great help. I seem to remember my Great Grandfather riding along Stanton Road and round Stanton Square on a Penny Farthing and having to lean against a lamp-post to get off.

My Grandfather lived in Lower Sydenham between 1906 and 1914 and was employed a hairdresser. Where were the hairdressing establishments and are there any records or photos?
