Re: Aeroplane sky trails

Looks like part of the US Presidential fleet overflew us about 7:45am.

Think they were also spotted middle of last week.

Not sure why there this far south in this sector as they are supposed to be operating out of Stansted.

Biggin Hill perhaps ?

Re: St Philip Neri school redevelopment

I have not read all of the updated drawings and submissions. These appear to have been made in two phases over April and May 2019. There is an addendum letter dated 17 May which appears to propose that the Archdiocese substitute the previously approved plans identified in Condition 2 for the plans s...

Re: St Philip Neri school redevelopment

Bit odd the sgasworks twitter account coupling the Pontiff with Boris Johnson's erection, oops! Gently Stuart "Coupling" in any context with BoJo included may lead towards an exposure to his lawyers being in touch. He really should exercise a modicum of abstinence if not celibacy and try to keep it...

Re: Sunday - Finally a day of peace

i am reliably informed that if the alarm sounder is accessible, the injection of expanding polystyrene foam into the workings significantly reduces the alarm volume. Not that any law abiding sleepless citizen who has had to endure its illegal operation over many weeks and been driven to the edge of ...

Re: St Philip Neri school redevelopment

Whoever decided it would be a good idea to further this campaign by tweeting at the Pope (!) from the Sydenham Gasworks twitter account (@sgasworks) needs to think again. It's quite inappropriate to try and make this into some sort of religious matter. Agreed. If one takes the time to look at the c...

Re: Refurb at the station / bye bye turdis

Might have read it wrong and they are refurbishing it/moving it or whatnot and agree without toilets at stations these things are useful no matter the look of them (not sure why they can’t have them a nice colour or some art on them!). If it is to be removed I’d like to see some clear signage for t...

Re: Refurb at the station / bye bye turdis

In related news the “turdis” also seems to be moving to another dimension as there is a sign on t saying it will no longer be in use from 31st May. Assume it’s part of the refurb. Possibly having a lovely community notice board for local events and businesses to advertise in its place perhaps?... (...

is the leader of the reichsforum, LawriePark actually US editor-in-chief of clickbait rage factory The Daily Wire, Ben Shapiro. Characteristic similarities. Remember you don't actually have to do anything to cause offence to this lad. It's all done for you. Should give you ample time to enjoy the Bell Green Gulag at its sweetest. Good god - the light has fallen on my eyes - the realisation I can have all this and not need to do anything to have it. i w...

Government to pay £200m for safer cladding

BBC reports weasel words from a weaselly individual against a backdrop of obfuscation, delay and blame shedding. Housing Secretary James Brokenshire had previously said the bill should be footed by the owners, not the taxpayer. A firm commitment made by PM Theresa May at the time of the disaster tha...

May I urge restraint? The gentleman has a record of getting negative but truthful comments removed from various forums. It is easy to step over the mark when provoked which may put our Admin in a difficult position. Let this thread stand as a picture from which people can draw their own conclusions...

I stand corrected. He does have access to these posts as he has just PMed me with reference to my last. As you were. Apologies Rachael - I laid an irony trap in an earlier post about LP not being able to see this thread. Sorry if it contributed to you receiving such a PM. For the record he has not ...

Re: Sydenham - community activity ?

Does anyone have actual proof of these allegations? At a very well attended and convivial social meet up of se23.life forum members last week the person in question told me in a private conversation that he is not LP. He was not even aware of these recent posts. There is a wealth of evidence held r...

Thank you Michael, my activities had been curtailed without explanation. I was unable to post or PM (although weirdly I could respond to any PM sent to me) and could only "like" posts.
