Re: Crystal Palace Park

I REALLY HOPE THINGS GO AHEAD WITH THE PARK...I WAS REALLY IMPRESSED WITH THE PLANS.... THE EXTENT OF HOUSING IS GETTING COMPLETELY BLOWN OUT OFF PROPORTION. ENGLISH HERITAGE HAVE GIVEN THE PLANS GREAT REVIEWS AND THEY WERE THE ONES WHO LISTED THE PARKLAND IN THE FIRST PLACE. I HOPE THOSE CLOWNS A C...

Re: waitrose looking for location

i think it would be very handy having a mini waitrose or m&s near sydenham station...the new retail space behind the greyhound would be a good suggestion if its going to be big enough. I used to use the m&s at london bridge on the way home for food and bottle of vino but now that i use the e...

i hope the descision gets approved. i believe one options was the creation of Trust, separate from the LDA who would decide park policy and oversee a management team to run the park. Some areas of the park are listed by english heritage like the terraces i am sure bromley is not allowed to let them ...

the mosaic is a crap dated idea. it wont help bring in the trendy shops, bars, restaurants and deli's that everyone on this forum keeps begging for because it makes us look like a bunch of backward idiots. if the mosaic goes up i will be the first to throw my doner kebab at it....... or at the next ...

i havent seen the mosaic but i would prefer the £10000 be spent on freshening up the outside with new paint, signage and some coloured blinds or glazing as per leenewhams 'what if series'. i think we need to be very careful with mosaics and public art. the tempory art work to the hoardings are great...

Drawing a line in the sky on the previously posted spring hill photo i cant see what the fuss is about. The residents at peakhill should have realised that a vacant site would have been built on to the height of adjacent buildings at some point . the developers have made enough compromises and i thi...

i live in crystal palace park road and i am very happy with the lda's plans. i am also an architect so i can read the plans well enough and believe it to be a very fair and balance masterplan. We end up with more parkland then we started off with anyway. I think the area along the park edge will ben...

i do like the overall masterplan for the site and how they have opened up the site at street level...it makes a positive contribution to the sydenham gateway. well done guys. however the new-build apartments definately needs some work. the trees on the roof are an attempt to 'green' the scheme...i s...

cathy the old hsbc has a nice outdoor area to the side and i think this unit may work best as an independant brasserie or maybe a chain like pizza express or sea cow etc ...something i feel the high street desperately needs. its a great opportunity to add a bit of alfresco dining and add a bit of li...
