Re: Fouling dogs

Any dog owners around that would like to contribute to this discussion? Personally, as a dog owner, it is not an ideal situation. There are very few council bins around where I walk my dog (in fact the only one I can think of is at a bus stop and is always over flowing with fried chicken boxes and b...

What do you suggest this owner does with the bagged dog poo other than throw it into a dustbin? Just interested to know. Thanks.

Have you lost a Jack Russell terrier?

My husband was just out walking our dog, when he called me to say he had found a Jack Russell wandering up Crystal Palace Park Road. It had a collar on but no ID tag. I went outside to help, but even though we tried for nearly half an hour, we failed to get close enough to the terrier to catch hold ...

Update! Just found out it was a load of bales of hay that were on fire last night beside the edge of the field where the football tent is. There were 2 fire engines there this morning at 7am as it was still smouldering. Looks like it was quite big in area but at least it wasn't any of the buildings.

Fire in Crystal Palace Park? (yes another one!)

I noticed loads of smoke coming from the fishing lake/lower area of the park at about 7.30pm this evening from Crystal Palace Park Road. I've just got in from taking my dog for a walk and there was a fireman standing by a stand pipe by the fisherman's gate, then two fire engines came out of the park...

Thanks Steve, I paid my £5 and managed to find my house after 3-4 tries! It's very interesting to read; my household had 3 member and 4 servants including a bee keeper!! In the 1911 census my house isn't listed as such, but there are two houses with the same number but different names so I think an ...

I can't seem to find my house listed in the 1911 Census - I live in Crystal Palace Park Road but my house number isn't there! I know my house is one of the original ones so I am finding this rather disappointing! I also know the original name of my house before there were numbers, but that isn't lis...
