Re: Does Lewisham Council take it constituents support for granted?

Labour have 54 out of 54 seats on Lewisham council, and got 60% of the vote in 2018: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_Lewi ... l_election

(i.e. it's unlikely they feel the need to bung money to certain areas to get more voters!)

Re: Consultation on Proposal to Close Silverdale/Bishopsthorpe Road to traffic

Also there is a lot of evidence that building more roads only leads to more traffic, not quieter roads. Hopefully reducing through routes has the same effect! And if it fails, it can always change back.

100% - a race to the bottom helps nobody. Instead of begrudging those that benefit, let's use this as a positive example for change across sydenham.

Re: Consultation on Proposal to Close Silverdale/Bishopsthorpe Road to traffic

Restricting traffic down these roads is an excellent idea. These changes are happening across London and, in my opinion, making places a lot nicer for residents. This is a good thread covering some of the new infrastructure across the city https://twitter.com/joncstone/status/1285497479060959233 It ...
