I've had the same problems as you wherever I've lived in London. This city is not built for cyclists but there are a lot of w*nkers out there that make it worse.

There is a Sydenham in my home town of Christchurch (New Zealand). I used to have my origami class near Sydeham Park there.

I remembered where I was when I saw the google car and was delighted to find I (or at least my hands on the steering wheel of my car) have been immortalised on streetview!

My flatmates and my bikes were both stolen from the outside of our place. Both were locked but thief had come prepared with bolt cutters so if they really want your bike there's not a lot you can do.

Get a USB CD drive prehaps - might be handy to have if you've got a lot of CDs alreadt or need to backup from the netbook?

Sydenham Hill Station this morning.

We had two bikes stolen on the night of 11 October, so probably not the one you spotted in Halifax Street.

Could be mine I had a couple of bikes pinched from outside our place a few weeks ago - Mysti I've PM'd you.

My person favourite is the Dulwich Wood House. The beautiful people don't hang out there much though. Maybe DWH should arrange a bus from the high street for them?

Well I must admit I feel marginally safer in Sydenham than I did when I lived in Brixton.

Admin - I spoke to the man who was mugged near Sydenham Hill Station this morning while he was waiting for the police to arrive.

He didn't look like a liar.
