Sophie
I seem to recall in the last years of opening it was a dive.. Yes was a Firkin pub but not a good one.

I do wish the pub all the best in the future.

The whole point was to restore this lovely old building which in my recollection did not include a conservatory.

Re: RIP DYLON FACTORY

Rod I agree , I have been shown around the old building at least twice and much more impressive than the new one. RIP also to some of last manufacturing jobs in Sydenham. Seems the new building will result in more over crowding at Lower Sydenham , which together with the new Stalag block at Catford ...

Wise Owl.

Think you will find they are not homeless.

Without tax credits they could not survive in UK.

Anyway I will not insult you , as you have me , I am sure you are a nice person.

Re: Beggars on the high street

Nigel This is exactly how the beggars purveying The Big Issue arrive at their designated spot The Guy who founded , with best intentions this alleged publication should be ashamed. What was a good way of homeless Britons of getting some cash , now a way of Romanian immigrants sponging of out tax cre...

Re: Beggars on the high street

Very distressing. Would never give to a beggar who was smoking or drinking. There should be no place for beggars in our United Kingdom.

Re: Beggars on the high street

I believe by offloading some of their dubious publications their income made up by tax credits. That was not the intention of the system.

I am all for EU folk to come here and do proper jobs but not sponge on the system.

Re: Say 'No' to further retail at Bell Green

I agree far too much devolpement at Bell Green , especially the lovely old Dylon Building.

Does anyone know if they are still manufacturing in UK , or has yet another British company outsourced ?????????????????

Pubs a great way for the community to meet.

There are far less pubs in Kirkdale area than in 70's or 30 's.

Re: Windmill Victory

Sydeham should be able to support more Pubs not less. We have lost The Duke of Edinburgh , The Talma and The Woodman in that small area .

I believe only have Fox and Hounds and Brick left .

Of course it should be a Pub or Pub / Cafe .

Surely Robin driving in central London should be avoided.

We want road pricing in all of London as soon as possible.

K and B was an excellent shop . That was also the time when many people rented TV's , seems strange now.

When you get fed up with the number of delivery vans , curse internet sales, especially Amazon
