Great to hear, Belinda that there will be more events in the future. I am sure it's going to be a great night at the Dolphin.

Re: Street Food evening on Thursday 5 September

I attended the last event at the Dolphin which was really great and the street food was amazing. Will there be live music again or was that only due to the Sydenham Arts festival?

Your Move - movement...

I was excited to see last night that there appears to be building work about to take place in the former Your Move office next to the PFC shop. The building has been an absolute eye sore for ages. Does anyone know what we can expect?

Re: NABORHOOD CENTRE

I agree with hissing syd. The Sydenham Centre building now looks far better than previously. I do however hope (and I know this sounds rather petty) that they remove the curtains on the ground floor they really don't do any favours to the building. I'd rather have no curtains/blinds than the horribl...

Re: NEW OPENINGS, NEW CLOSINGS

Is anybody aware what is to be built opposite Sydenham station? I was pleased to see yesterday that building work seems about to commence at the old garages / dry cleaning facility which is a real eye sore

Re: Sydenham Festive Market - Sunday 16 December

Amazing food market in Sydenham today. Just got back with some nice bread, cheese and sausages. It was buzzing! Judging on the number of people today I truly think that Sydenham is ready for a monthly food market if the same quality was to be upheld!

Re: Sydenham high street works

I think we are all very much longing for the regeneration work to commence however I fail to understand how any work to the high street can be affected by the Olympics(!?)
We are clearly not in a hot spot! Any way, here's a an atumn 2012 kick off of the much needed regeneration of our high street!

Re: NEW OPENINGS, NEW CLOSINGS

yes that is the one. I wish and sorry (140 Interior I don't mean to cause any offense!) that the beautiful 140 interior shop would be able to move into a more prominent position on the high street. It's a stunning shop with great pieces of furniture and gift items, I am just concerned that it doesn'...

Re: Canvas & Cream

What a gem! I was in Crystal Palace this weekend. The Sparrowhawk is a great newly opened gatro pub which I can highly recommend. CP's triangle has so many nice venues to offer now. Forest Hill is getting more and more great little shops and coffee houses. Sydenham is sadly not progressing at all! I...

Re: The two half´s pub

I'm so glad to see that I'm not the only one who is hoping for an improvement of Sydenham. I think SE26 has so much potential but I must admit I have not seen many glimpses of hope over the past 3 years where I have been residing in SE26. The opening of Billings (awesome place - please shop local - ...
