Any sighting of our Brave Little Post Boys yet?
Maybe if they do venture out (no doubt after it stops raining) we should nominate them for one of The Pride of Britain Awards - Outstanding Bravery
You can nominate them here:-

Re: Parakeets
There are loads of them in Crystal Palace Park and they really do make a racket. They first appeared in southern England in 1997, apparently. I saw one in '97 ...................................... They were in Beckenham Place Park in the 1970/80's If you want to see lots of them go to Sydenham Hil...

Freesat was initially set up jointly by BBC/ITV for areas that cannot receive Freeview, however it would appear that the majority of the existing users are people that want to watch HD (High Definition) on their HD ready TV's. Currently the football is being shown in HD as will the Olympics. Freesat...

Unfortunately with big organisations things do not happen as quickly as they should and certainly not as quick as you would like. Usually when you chase up something no one has any record of your complaint etc. When I am told that they have passed my complaint to 'so and so department' I immediately...

Re: Birds and Birders, SE26
I think my favorite was the spectacular green woodpecker I saw taking off from my garden - first time I'd seem one in London, although my neighbour told me they were about. Tell me about your sightings here, but PM or comments on my blog. Loads of green woodpeckers in Sydenham Hill woods and on Dul...
