Re: Bakerloo extension - Lower Sydenham transformed

I just wish these schemes would be carried out sooner rather than later. Crossrail is many billions more than it would have cost when mooted during the 1980s.

Re: Rebuild the Greyhound Pub Campaign #rebuildthegreyhound

Given that the Facebook page has been deleted, can I urge people to leave a Google review, as michael suggested a few days ago: If you do a Google search on Purelake you can leave a review of the company there as well (possibly you need a Google+ account). The great thing about this is that Google ...

We could also ask them directly

No abuse just asking politely.

Re: Lewisham Kingfishers

I used to take my children to school to Athelney via the path at the back of Sainsburys and it was a joy to see a couple of kingsfishers first thing in the morning.

The last few nights our local tawny owls have been very vocal.

Re: Dog barking every evening, Kirkdale/Sydenham Park?

Has anyone in Kirkdale/ Sydenham Park (?) area noticed a dog constantly barking most evenings? Seems to be left outside somewhere. I can hear it near Peak Hill so am only assuming this is the area. Poor thing has been barking for about 2 hours now, it is now 2230. This happens most evenings. It sou...

Re: BELTWOOD IN SYDENHAM HILL

Hello - am new to the forum and interested to know what is happening at Beltwood House now. Does anyone know? Plans to develop the site into a jumble of apartments and houses was submitted recently and is awaiting decision. However, I live in one of the houses that backs onto the far east border of...

Yo, tell us more. Being of the non-male variety, I've found ICKX very helpful in advising me about man clobber ("in" brands & quality). Wedding gear, now that's a whole different ball game, clearly beyond socks and shirt T shirts etc. Must tell more... Meanwhile, best wishes and congr...

The Dulwich Estates which own swathes of land around Sydenham Hill do not allow any masts on their properties.

A huge thank you to the staff at ICKX for sorting out my attire for a wedding I had to go to in Rutland.

Tim I have been considering your suggestion. It is only two in particular who are abusive etc , we have to accept that they have not grown up. Re: Is Sydenham Safe?

Sydenham is great. It is the old German suburb. Sure there is the rare event of a major crime, like most areas but apart from that it is a cool place. Lots of excellent little shops and cafes by the station and on Kirkdale. I've been here for almost ten years and like others never felt threatened ev...
