Re: Did you vote?
I voted green x3. Not expecting anything from it. But really struggling to vote Labour, based on interactions with the council over a long period (though I have had recent productive conversations with Louise Krupski, who is now deputy mayor, about the litter issues). I really think it's time some ...

How did it go? I’m going for speed humps on my roadAndrewMorris wrote: ↑28 Jan 2024 11:50 Small fixes can make a big difference. On my street, we're dealing with potholes that are like craters – gonna report them and hope for some asphalt magic.

Re: Did you vote?
The reason why we, unlike so many other boroughs, don't have decent cycle lanes lies nearer home. The original City Hall Superhighway plan was to bring one to Sydenham. That was squashed by a certain mayoral petrolhead (allegedly). I have to admit the Count had the most impressive manifesto: https:...

Did you vote?
Hey, I voted Count Binface. I want proper cycle lanes so there was no way I’d vote for Sadiq again. Johnson was a disaster but he did have some ideas and we nearly had a cycle super highway!

Re: Broken window theory
Thought this was yet more roadworks until I looked a little closer. No hole. It would appear some local flytipper has gifted Lawrie Park Gardens this present for Christmas. Lewisham Council Taxpayers will have to pay to get it carted away. https://social.brainsys.com/system/media_attachments/files/...

Re: Bell Green Public Transport improvements
Happy Christmas to everyone in Bell Green. This is your update on what's been happening in 2023. Gasholders site- Barratt London. Having withdrawn their previous application at the last moment, Barratt submitted their new application weeks ago. It still hasn't been published, which suggests Lewisha...

I’ve got the tarmac around a tree repaired as the roots were breaking through.
The small victories add up!

Re: Broken window theory
Afternoon all,
I thought I’d share a few small wins. Since my zero tolerance stance to mess begun my neighbours are bringing their bins in and the council trimmed a massive hedge that hadn’t been touched for years!!

Hi, I’ve got this message about reporting problems - The Council’s preferred reporting portal is www.lewisham.gov.uk/cleanerlewisham. Please could you consider downloading Love Clean Streets this app and using it to report issues directly to us. This is the most efficient way of letting us know abou...

Re: Broken window theory
Syd that’s kind of inspiring and well done . I sometimes think we suffer from a kind of Imposter Syndrome in that we feel we don’t deserve those nice things like planters and arty bollards. Let’s face it we don’t deserve knife crime but we get that . Good luck with your planters . Cheers Nigel. I r...

“Summer Flu”
Hi all, just checking is anyone has noticed an increase in people with “summer flu”?
There is a new variant which may be as transmissible as omicron but as problematic as Delta. I’m in a high risk category so I’ve changed my behaviour drastically since 2020 and I’m considering masking again
