Re: Petition. Lewisham isn't working: end the directly-elected mayoral system now

Genuine question:
What difference would it make when every single councillor is from a single party?

Re: Sockpuppets on t'other forum

... he self-confessed he was fabricating the Flava Baker entities and lied about their relationship with them is actually horrifying. Fear was being foisted on Nic in an uncontrolled manner by this guy. Not just Nic's fear but also her children (based on what she posted on Facebook) who heard from ...

Re: Sockpuppets on t'other forum

To extend your silence will be a mistake. People might go further and begin to question why the moderator team did not query Chris beach’s repeated attacks on his selected targets in the community. Why did they not prevail in any intervention that should have been more effective in stopping them? I...

Re: Sockpuppets on t'other forum

Does anybody else see the parallels with the bigger world? Over in the US we have an American president who was upset by a few women and had to respond with racist tweets and blaming them for saying nasty things. Back in the UK we have lots of people appalled at the conspiracy against Corbyn which h...

Re: Sockpuppets on t'other forum

I think the revised moderation team deserve a chance to get on with running a good forum. They gave users the option on what to do with the topic. So far only one person has voted to delete the thread, most have voted to leave it as is, and others have voted to close the thread (but leave it visible...

I didn't even realise you had been posting on those sites in the last few months.

I'm sure you will be given a fair chance to appeal against this decision at some point over the next thousand years.

Re: Sydenham - community activity ?

So who is/was LawriePark? I think we should be told. I don't think that would be appropriate given that he/she has specifically requested that he/she does not wish to be personally identified. Of course no information about his/her personal identity would need to be deleted if others on the forum h...

Re: Bell Green Gas Holders - Proposal to Demolish in April 2018.

News from Southern Gas Network: We are currently in the process of cleaning the gas holder tanks, which can create additional odours in and around the area. I can assure you, that although these odours can be unpleasant, they do not pose any risk to health or the environment. All noise, odour and du...

Brockley Society turned a phone box into a mini library: https://www.standard.co.uk/news/london/lewisham-phone-box-turned-in-to-londons-smallest-library-9218293.html Perhaps something similar could be done if this phone box is no longer operational? Re: Bell Green Urban Renewal Plan

JGD, I don't see this as a ward dispute although I would dispute the ward boundaries as the only boundaries that matter for an issue as big as Bell Green or Forest Hill town centre. I and the Forest Hill Society are happy to lend our support to groups in neighbouring areas where there is common inte...

Nothing has been pre-determined, everything is up for discussion, and the whole local community will have multiple opportunities to contribute. To enable that, however, ...
