Re: Daniel Morgan Murder
Good impartial journalism in the last installment. Mere hints at the extent that a cover-up was conducted (probably for legal reasons), But i think AC and RB and News Corp had a huge sway on the way the investigations went/ failed. And a man/father died and his accused are living in the media spotli...

Re: moving to Sydenham
Sydenham house prices increased a bit when the East London Line was commissioned, coupled with a few other local developments.
I don't have any advice, as I no longer liver there. Just to say, keep you eyes open for properties 'on the fringe' of your desired area.

Re: Daniel Morgan Murder
the first two episodes were a 'slow-burner', but the impetus is building. There are so many potential strands to the story, I think that is how the waters were muddied so comprehensively. After all this time, any culprits have had plenty of time to 'get their stories straight'. And the overwhelming ...

Actually, there was loads of evidence. Somehow, it got corrupted, or went missing. Then police investigations got hampered by various events.

Re: Daniel Morgan Murder
BUMP. starts at 9pm, Channel 4. Much respect to the Morgan family for pursuing this (Alistair in particular), and also the press. I hope something positive comes of this renewed publicity. From a business partnership, to murder, police drug dealing, to a media/police corroboration, that could have, ...

If someone finds a dead pet, i would suggest taking the body to the nearest vets, to scan to see if it has been chipped. If so, then the owner can be informed via their details.

Crystal Palace Park dinosaurs
The BBC article in the link below offers an insight to Crystal Palace Park, and the financial burden to Bromley. The dinosaurs risk becoming extinct,...again :) [Link] Bromley have no money for the park, hence the quote, "Bromley Council's Peter Morgan said money for restoration would also be &...

Re: Zanzibar on Judge Rinder
I'm enjoying life watching ploughing matches between farmers and having no public transport. when you get 4 buses a day in/out of the village, Judge Rinder has limited competition. The JR case was about monies owed between ex-partners, but the issue of the Zanzibar pricked my ears. I guess the man a...

Zanzibar on Judge Rinder

There were a middle-aged man and woman in conflict over monies owed to the woman. (the details are sketchy, as i wasn't watching properly, but I am relaying what I...

Re: 5-a-side footie
where do I find an XXXXXXL t-shirt and shorts combo ? :D In for 10 minutes of playing in goal for 18 May. Beer and curry still in the balance as to domestic situation. check out local schools to see if they rent out 5-a-side pitches in evenings, in order to get revenue. Kangley Bridge leisure centre...

AliB in for the 18 May
Thank you for the kind invite, which I feel compelled to accept. Such a really gratifying gesture. I'll need to dig out some XXXL shorts and T-shirt. and bring an oxygen mask.
Should be able to make a beer or 2, but not sure about laters, as I have commitments at home.

Re: fake Big Issue seller?
Around 2005, I used to shop at Sainsburys , in Forest Hill. Outside was a regular vendor, with ID and jacket. His name was Terry, and he was even featured in one of the issues. Terry disappeared a few months later, and was replaced by a, seemingly, Eastern European lady. She had no ID or jacket. Eve...

Re: Been to The Greyhound yet?
Have a table booked for me and some friends at the end of March. ( I moved to East Sussex 6 years ago). The Greyhound has had very good reviews, as has the owners other pubs.
I am confident it will prove a worthwhile visit to south east London, and my old stomping ground.

Re: Say 'No' to further retail at Bell Green
Remedial works to leave a gasworks fit for residential aren't cheap. But prices are getting more competitive and there are Government/Council monies available to bring land back into use. Any business is in effect fighting over the consumer £1 in their pocket. That £1 can only go to one shop. At the...

Re: Say 'No' to further retail at Bell Green
The petition calls for the gasholders to be listed and the land around the them to be turned into residential units instead of retail space. I wouldn't have thought any of the land on the site of the old gasworks will be fit for normal residential use for thousands of years . Not true really. You c...

Re: 5-a-side footie
I am amazed this is still going, having moved to Sussex 5 years ago. I applaud the various Ringmasters who have kept, and indeed increased, the participant numbers. It would be unseemly of me to re-emerge for the Christmas mash-up (which is a damn fine way to spend any excess monies), but I hope to ...
