Re: Parliamentary Election Hustings
I won't be voting for Jim either for exactly the same reasons as Spartacus - Sydenham deserves a far better MP...shame.

Re: Sydenham Arts - Word Fair
Does anybody know if the world record was achieved? If yes, how about a permanent record (a sign perhaps) somewhere?

Re: #RebuildTheGreyhound - pub to be rebuilt by April 2015?
Assuming that the Schedule 10 works were signed off at the end of last month, I find it hard to believe that a meeting is still required to go through 'structural issues'. If the structural issues are so severe as to put workmen at risk then why was this not addressed earlier in the original applica...

Re: #RebuildTheGreyhound - pub to be rebuilt by April 2015?
Unbelievable - I find it staggering how one developer can weave its way round Lewisham planning department so easily. Is it not unreasonable to expect Purelake to commence works on site PRIOR to the threat of legal action coming into force on 27th April and to resolve the outstanding Building Contro...

Station approach - new toilet
When is this work going to be finished - does somebody know? The area around the toilet has been fenced off for weeks now with no activity.

At the risk of repeating myself does anyone have any new information on this development? Is work due to start on site soon?

Totally agree - great first issue! Admin - how about creating a Town Arts section so everyone can find events and comment more easily?

High Street Market Signs
I've noticed over the last couple of weeks that several of the market signs along the high street have come loose from their lampposts or are missing altogether. Can the loose ones be fixed back properly and the rest hung up?

Re: SEE3- new developments
I think your suggestion of,"We should be creating something cool, a bit slick, new and contemporary" needs to be expanded on before I can believe you can offer a viable alternative. Until then I look forward to discovering safari animals in and around the local area...

Re: #RebuildTheGreyhound - pub to be rebuilt by April 2015?
Well done to all those involved in campaigning for this building to be brought back to life however, I think in the coming months we should all be making sure Purelake fulfil their obligation to rebuild until the doors open for business again!

Good luck Jonathan - I'm sure if anyone can turn Zanzibar from a local nuisance into a treasured asset it's you. Fingers crossed the local representatives of the club are receptive to your ideas.

It was full last night but managed to get a table - wonderful food and drink and a nice atmosphere. Hopefully won't be too long before we make a second visit!
