Yeah. We're getting smart water meters whether we want them or not.
Although this seems to be the se23.life moan thread instead.

They could make a killing just outside the Livesey Tudor Halls, several times a week. For a while at least.

Re: Parking tickets
Well I'm quite shocked, as here in Lewisham, it would appear you can park on pavements, in bus stops and on double yellows without getting any tickets. It's almost as if they just patrol parking bays or something...

Re: Sydenham Market is back on 2nd Saturday of the month
I've traded at the market several times in the past. Some of the few food sellers at the market I spoke to when it moved from Sunday to Saturday spoke of the conflict with the Horniman, because some of them already had a commitment there. And there is indeed plenty of food on sale at the Hornman eve...

Re: Sydenham Market is back on 2nd Saturday of the month
The successful markets mentioned rely on food. People will come and buy food (it's nice if they can sit and eat it too). Unfortunately, the Horniman is a big competitor for food traders and it provides them with a pitch every week, coinciding with the monthly market in Sydenham. I'd suggest making t...

Still a big hole in the road. Still little activity on 'site'. We still have a car every minute coming down our road... No info from anyone regarding it either. https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xlt1/v/t1.0-9/12809779_10153274923870940_3933355310508799052_n.jpg?oh=f074ae0c9522dceed0e290c2...

Re: Property values in Sydenham
I'm not sure I really have an issue with a tower in Catford. But have you seen it? Over in Croydon, they built a huge tower that can be seen for miles around. It's quite an impressive beast. Whereas it looks like Catford will be getting something that looks like student accommodation. The stuff they...

Re: The Bridge Leisure Centre
I used to take my son there for swimming from 6 months old. But we were never sure if there would be a lesson, because if there weren't enough people (3) the lesson would be cancelled. Therefore, people often wouldn't bother, so it was more likely to be cancelled. Add to that pool issues and staff s...

Re: Water Leak - Perry Rise - Road Closed
I think they only brought three traffic lights, so they have to put that one down to one so everyone can see the lights. Otherwise, they could have coned off an area very easily at night.

Re: Water Leak - Perry Rise - Road Closed
Complete chaos there today, as there are now temporary traffic lights and all approaches are down to one lane for no apparent reason (other than a shortage of temporary lights I presume). Tailbacks stretching as far as the eye can see towards Sydenham and queues to enter Sainsbury's by the garage. S...

Re: Water Leak - Perry Rise - Road Closed
There is a no left turn. I was told it was so pedestrians had a chance to cross. It is quite tight too. Very few cars actually do our rat run to turn left though. Presumably, they go a different route. I'd say 95% or more of the traffic turns right at the bottom of Lescombe Road. Sorry to hear about...

Re: Water Leak - Perry Rise - Road Closed
Yeah. Our quiet little road is under constant pressure, just from there being traffic lights at the junction. They turn left into Priestfield, right into Lescombe and then right again onto Perry Hill, just to avoid driving down the road and turning right at the lghts. I think the last traffic count ...

Afraid not. I passed again a little later and it was gushing, so I think it must depend on the pressure.

Still leaking, but no workers anymore. Just a hole. Which sometimes bubbles water. Quite a nice water feature tbh.

I've been composting since I moved in, in 2009. The bin is still only half full. Or empty. Depending on your outlook. Had to buy the compost bin myself mind you.
