Maybe the fact that you get logged out when replying or can't make a new account on the site might have something to do with it? I posted about the account creation issue a while ago but had no reply to that either.

I tried to create an account for my Love Bell Green profile, but the form refreshes on submit and no email is sent and the account cannot be logged in.

I also got logged out when trying to post this the first time. And the second time.

I can't see that in the planning documents.

The mezzanine floor is next door in Currys.

Over the past two days, I have planted around 200 daffodil bulbs on the raised green space on Bell Green, next to the blood testing site of Sydenham Green GP building.

Since the last post I have continued litterpicking.

In Feb/ March 2025 I cut back the overgrown grass on the bed by Haseltine and Stanton Way and out down wildflower seeds.

As far as I understand the unit next to B and Q is the new Currys. It has a Mezzanine floor to create the space lost by halving the original store.

Which means the M&S will be next to Next. The back of that store is currently sectioned off with the remnants of Currys at the front. Presumably they ...

Same here. I log in. I wrote the post and submit and it asks me to login and then brings me back to the blank post form. Usually works second time round.

It happened again for this post.

I think the fact you have to login multiple times to submit a comment won't be helping...

The council has deemed that Sydenham Road and parking places in surrounding streets shall now be chargeable. £1 for 30 minutes. No return within 24 hours. I believe they are currently free for 40 minutes or something?

Meanwhile, 3-4 hours free parking at the shops down the road in the retail park ...

A man has died and two others have been left injured after a shooting in Sydenham.

The incident happened in Wells Park Road at around 10.10am today (November 10).

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a man who had been shot.

I have written to planning.

I haven't objected, but I have asked for conditions to be tied to any approval, asking for McDonalds to contribute towards bin improvements on the public areas of the retail park and to play a greater role in managing litter outside the confines of their tiny car park ...

The response from Lewisham in the planning documents sets out the pollution on site:

We should aim for segregated cycle lanes, rather than paint on the road. Southend Lane, and many other roads this side of the bridge benefit from being extremely wide.

It does seem like a wasted opportunity not to put in cycle lanes. Or at least cycle lanes joining up the gaps in between bus lanes.

A bus lane is of some help, but also has very large buses in it, which stop frequently, so not ideal.
