Many thanks for those who PM'd me about it.
There is good news though, a church-based charity over in Streatham collected it yesterday evening. They provide furniture and other household items to families in need so it will go to a good home.
Thanks
Andy

FREE - Cream Leather Sofa and Chairs
We initially offered this to St.Christopher's but when they arrived to collect, they declined because it has wooden feet on show. Apparently if the leather went all the way to the floor then they would take it, strange! So, here we are now offering this free to anyone in Sydenham who would like it. ...

Re: Dangerous e-scooters in Sydenham
To add to this argument, yesterday I was clonked on my left side by an electric scooter outside The Greyhound. Three lads were riding them on the pavement at speed and totally unaware of other pedestrians. The time was 6pm and therefore the light was poor, the pavement was crowded with people attemp...

Re: Sydenham Community Radio
I was thinking the same as I was involved at the start of the Sydenham Community Radio project. It really never got off the ground mainly due to funding I believe. It would be great to start one up again as I still have some contacts in the Community Broadcasting arena. The one main issue is finding...

Hi All!
Does anyone know how to contact the furniture upholsterer at 291 Sydenham Road?
Everytime I go past it, it is closed and I have seen something in the window that I would like to enquire about.
Many Thanks

Re: Two Helicopters?
From my viewpoint they were both news gathering helicopters, the police one is blue with a yellow top and it has a twin tail fin. Also the police use a Eurocopter EC145 and these certainly didn't look like one of those.

Re: Ignition Brewey needs our help!
I do hope that our new pub, The Greyhound, which has just won a Time Out Local Award put some of their beer on tap.
I am sure it will be a seller providing they promote the ethos behind the brewery and the beer. I shall be donating to the crowdfunding project.

Re: Been to The Greyhound yet?
I agree that the Greyhound is still finding its feet. The new bay windows look good and bring in much more light. As for food, we've given up unless we book a table 6 months in advance (Easyjet style) and then to be prepared to wait for hours. What they should do is this, if the kitchen can easily c...

Re: Lewisham wide 20mph roads
I just thought the council had a load of spare white paint to get rid of. Just like when they have a load of concrete and mini-roundabouts spring up in unexpected places.
The big question is if you manage to drive faster than 20mph in London then you are doing well.

Re: #RebuildTheGreyhound - pub to be rebuilt by April 2015?
I mentioned about making a community pub many moons ago but it was ignored. I have mentioned it to a few of the local micro-breweries aka Gypsy Hill about them getting together and buying it. So if anyone has a closer relationship with any of them perhaps they could mention it again. It would be a g...

Re: Changing the speed limit
I just thought that Lewisham had a job lot of white paint they wanted to get rid off. Also the speed down the High Street cannot be more than 20mph anyway. A bit like those mini-roundabouts that spring up. I can just imagine the conversation: Worker 1: "Well, that was a good job done. What are ...

Re: What happened to the so-called Piaza
I just thought that it might have been redeveloped as part of the High Street regeneration.
Now, we just have a vacant piece of land with hoardings that have seen better days. It would be good to see it as a small market square instead of the small piaza opposite the railway station.

What happened to the so-called Piaza
I was wondering after the redevelopment of the High Street there were plans for a small piaza between Paperchase Taxation and the Shirin Cafe. So what's happened?
It is one of the eyesores on the high street and it would be a great place for the Farmers Market and other pop up events.
