Re: 2 large bags of air-filled pillow packaging offered free for collection

Hi Rachael,
Thank you! I did not realise you could do that. If no-one takes them I will do that when I can next get there (on the bus). Pity you cannot do that in general recycling bins (like the ones on my estate). Or can you?

Please help raise money for PPE at Lewisham Hospital/beyond

Please help to raise funds to buy some very special PPE equipment. This Crowdfunder is of personal interest to me as I have worked with Natalie, the Project Organiser, for many months & also with many others at Lewisham Hospital, especially the ENT surgeons & other clinical staff. Please check out t...

Re: Jah Burns!

Hi, just wondering if anyone will answer any enquiries into this great sounding night? I sent a PM which, I assume, got through to the OP and I really would like to attend and also to help but, if wanted OR not, for this event, I would like to know or have some response, ASAP?

Thanks, Sue

Re: Lewisham A&E closure threat: history repeated

Thank you to those who have signed the petition and talked about this issue to others :) All I can say, in reply to Robin's enquiry, at this time is, it IS VERY SERIOUS! There are very strong implications to all of this and no time to talk about all of this now, even if I could. What doesn't seem ob...

Re: Lewisham A&E closure threat: history repeated

I am very concerned, saddened and worried about this as I know that the hospital/community I work for and the patients and other people that I meet, get to know and help, throughout my shifts at Lewisham Hospital (and others I will not if it happens) WILL suffer if these closures and cuts go ahead. ...

Re: SYDENHAM LIBRARY IS OPEN

I am surprised also that the page has not been changed but I am sure it will be eventually :D I am so glad that the library has now been taken over and is being run by locals. It would have been such a shame if it had closed permanently Do you need any books? I have many to pass on. Mostly Fiction b...

Don't forget our hidden gem in the city! Sydenham Hill and Dulwich Woods http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sydenham_Hill_Wood http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dulwich_Wood I had the pleasure of attending an organised walk earlier this year and learnt much more than I knew. It was great and I hope it could be...

Just a wee reminder of the walk tomorrow - looks like the weather is going to be much better than today and previous rainy days :D

See you all in the morning - 11am by the Crescent Wood Road entrance :)

HURRAY! I WILL be there! I am off work that day :D Maybe plus one but, if not, I'll be (not) on my own. Thank you so much Ali, for sending me the notes from the last walk. (and my sincere apologies for not getting back to you until now) Were there any photo's? I was so sad to read that you will be l...

Re: A historical walk through Sydenham Hill Woods

Oh no, I have another long shift that day (Sunday) too (monthly rota says so and no chance of changing) :( I used to take my children and dog there quite often, up until about about 3 years ago, but now he is in doggy-heaven (11 years as part of our family) and my sons are (almost all) grown men, I ...

Re: Food hygiene survey - want to take part?

Hi mosy :) Was very interested in this survey as, I hold a current Food Safety In Catering Level 2 Certificate so was testing my knowledge - again - (last job was in a Kitchen/restaurant) Probably over-did it but also, probably missed a couple of things - it was very fast! Now I am in a Hospital set...

Never received it here :( Maybe it's because I live on a Council Estate? (We DO get about 10 Pizza/other take away menus through our door though, weekly, but contrary to belief, we don't all live on that kind of food, daily :P) We seem to get forgotten and not get good service for many things (ie pa...
