Re: Social distancing on the High Road
I haven’t noticed any difference between Penge and Sydenham. Also haven’t noticed that people are oblivious in Sydenham to it! Seems to me people are avoiding each other in a sensible manner.

Re: Sydenham Grand Prix
I’ve seen a group of quad bikers gathered by the Clarke’s bus depot by Lower Sydenham recently. They use that stretch of road to rev and test their bikes it seems. Properly noisy. Not sure the police give a monkey’s though, or more likely they can’t really afford the time to collar them.

Activity in old Coop
In other news...quite a lot of activity in the old Coop yesterday. Some guys drilling some piles into the floor to see what the foundation depth was.
The guys didn’t seem to know what was going on, but movement nonetheless.

Re: Black cabbies in celebration.....
Tbh, I would rarely use a cab to go into London, so the main reason is to come home.
Also, the majority of Uber vehicles are hybrid, which can’t be said for black cabs.
Uber needs to change a few things, but it is defo a thing for good for me, and I would have less in my pocket as a result

Re: Theft in broad daylight
Horror story - your friend's case to be argued with the supplier, deliverer and respective insurance companies will be a tale to be told too. On Perry Hill the fastest drive-by pick-up in daylight is around six minutes. Average 12-25 minutes for white goods. Once watched an eastern European lady li...

Re: Mad Dough
Regarding Hibagon providing "world-class Japanese food", all I know is that any time it's open there's virtually no customers eating there, and they're always advertising for staff. I admit I haven't eaten at Hibagon, or ordered a takeaway, and I recall when it first opened six or seven y...
Re: Mad Dough
Completely agree about Hibagon.
Re: is Aldi happening in Sydenham or not
Well the signs are up outside the premises and they appear to be fitting it out, so I reckon that’s a fair sign it’s happening

John does appear to have a harder life than the rest of KPR’s residents.
Curious.

Re: Knighton Park Road
Yet another near collision outside my house... JUST much hooting of horns and shouts of abuse! Collision, or near collision? Surely there have been two or three in the last fortnight, but they were collisions. Not near collisions. Please only report on (including photos of) collisions. Near collisi...

Re: Knighton Park Road
I already posted my solution. For those who think there is no problem... it is outside my house where the fisticuffs generally happen along with the regular collisions. On average there is a collision once a fortnight. The screaming of abuse and fisticuffs are about as frequent. I have never seen a...

Re: Knighton Park Road
I would like to know who has priority on the high street then? If the flats above and the retail units below helped pay for it, how dare anyone have a greater right to use it? Scandalous
Also, I have lived in KPR for quite a few years, and there really isn’t a problem.

Re: Park Court Rubbish - Knighton Park Rd
There is a public health issue at stake and so the Environmental Health Department is who you should refer to. We are! Write direct to the puppet mayor. I doubt you will receive a response but he is supposed to be responsible. Domestic waste is a local authority matter and they are obliged BY LAW t...

Park Court Rubbish - Knighton Park Rd

A lot of demolition work went on but it came to a halt. I believe there is an intention to purchase Sivyer's yard and incorporate that. If so then a revised planning application should be expected BUT no news so far. If Sivyer's yard is closed it will be a day for widespread celebration and I am su...
