Is that the Steptoes furniture shop that has been closed for years?
None of the more recent shops in that small block lasted long.

Would be great if the gasholders could be saved and the area turned into a park, such as in the photo posted by leenewham above.

Lewisham council will definitely collect mattresses for free, but you have to book the collection via the www or by phone. They will then collect it on a specified day from outside your property. But you have to pay for bed frames to be removed.
