Re: Sydenham Hill/Penge East to lose direct trains to St Pan
I've signed the petition. This is quite a useful route into the City and with only a few trains each day I was hoping these might be increased not stopped altogether!

Re: Threatening behaviour at Lower Sydenham Station parking
I'm also a Tredown resident and find parking occasionally difficult. There certainly are station parkers around. I wouldn't mind a CPZ as long as there was a reasonable provision for guests to be able to park. I wonder how this would work with half the roads being Lewisham and half Bromley. Tredown ...

Re: Going over old ground - The Hound that is Grey
It would be great if this could be a focus of community attention to bring pressure to bear. Personally I had been concentrating on the Zanzibar issue up until now, and I can tell you it is such a relief with the result and quite uplifting that the community and the council were able to bring succe...

We were there this afternoon and it looks amazing! The area at the back is really kid-friendly and the old comic book/superhero theme is great.

Think I might go pay as you go next time, my two year contract ends in Nov :D You can get sim only deals if you don't need a new phone... with monthly call/text/data allowances.... with a rolling monthly contract. Giffgaff are good for this but I must admit the signal at my home on Sydenham is quit...
Re: Butt.....
Have to agree about the cigarette butts outside the tattoo shop. My son was quite interested by what goes on in the shop so we used to have a look as we walked past. We've also noticed on several occasions staff smoking outside the door and the butts just flicked carelessly onto the pavement. So ha...

Have just watched a beautiful Rowan tree be butchered by Bromley council on Byne Rd.... Gorgeous red berries all gone and looking autumnal. There was absolutely no need for this, not obstructing anything and certainly the wrong time of year. Have complained to the council.

See above, over 16s only and you need to get an access code from the Practice reception before registering.
They told me that under 16s weren't allowed to use the service so of course I argued that I would use it for them but to no avail.

I was told by Wells Park that I couldn't have EMIS access for my children - this is such a pain as it's them who seem to need to go the most!Rachael wrote:We all have EMIS accounts - me, my husbsnd and the kids. I just log in to which ever account the appointment is for.

We use Simon Hart who advertises on here. He is a decorator by trade but turns his hand to most things. Local chap, happy to leave him our keys.

Try Tree Reasons. They're local, friendly and reliable. We've used them for firewood and tree work for a couple of years now.

There is a drop-in clinic with the Lewisham Speech & Language team at Sydenham Green Health Centre every Friday afternoon for children.
I found it a useful way into the system.

Hi there, Yes you're right, you're very unlikely to get into Alexandra Infants. I personally think the junior school should be converted into a full primary. Anyway, we live in your area and our son is in Reception at Kelvin Grove. It's not the closest but we're really happy with it. Childre...

Re: Primary School agonies, advice needed
We're in Bromley, on border but preferred the Lewisham schools and got in to our first choice. Distance-wise it doesn't count against you if you are in a neighbouring borough but close enough. However if you don't get any of your choices then yes, your borough will give you one of their schools. If ...
