Re: Fly tipping and Lewisham Council's response
I've found that Lewisham council respond very quickly to flytipping. Go to www.fixmystreet.com and report it there.

Re: 2017 Decent Christmas Decorations in High Street?
Why is it that everywhere else they have nice lights on the lamp posts with no problems of bulbs blowing in the heavy rain but in Sydenham it is a big enough concern to concede with these boring lights? Who's idea is it for BLUE lights?? The most un-Christmassy colour EVER. Why not traditional green...

Thank you Pally for bringing Xmas decorations subject back into focus.

2017 Decent Christmas Decorations in High Street?
Can the local representatives of the council please ensure that Sydenham has decent lamppost/street decorations in the High Street this year? And a half decent, bushy, Christmas tree with proper colourful Christmas lights? Is it too much to ask if we can possibly have a better looking town centre th...

Re: #RebuildTheGreyhound - pub to be rebuilt by April 2015?
Ben / Pat, If you are in touch with the owner please can I suggest that they protect the greyhound statues at the entrance whilst the building work is in progress. I am amazed that they are not protected. I work in construction consulting and this would be a priority requirement on behalf of our cli...

I appreciate your comment Stuart. I am disgusted at Eagle's IGNORAN remark about Big Issue sellers. They are not beggars.

It's only a bunch of bicycles for goodness sake! We're not talking about juggernauts! Get on with it and get it sorted so that another derelict building can come back into use sharpish. FFS!

Brown Bin/Garden Waste Collection Non-Service
Does anyone else have a problem with their brown bin/garden waste collections being missed on a regular basis and wonder why they've wasted £60/year fee for the privilege of such an unreliable service? Or is it just me and my neighbours? :( Lewisham Council need to address this problem and not ignor...

Re: Beggars on the high street
There was always one outside the old Co-op supermarket but she wasn't begging as she was selling the Big Issue. Maybe it's her? I don't mind it if they are selling the Big Issue but if they are just begging then that's not good.

I noticed the tidy surroundings today too. What a positive difference it makes when it is weed-free and the fences upright.
