I haven't looked at the website and I haven't tried a session. However I know a couple of women who have joined up and really like it.

Isn't the information centre still there?

I've heard 2 rumours this week about the Greyhound pub site:

1. It is going to become a Tesco Local or Metro or whatever
2. Pub and car park will become a block of flats

Anyone know if either of these are true?

Is the pub a listed building?

Anyone remember the butcher that used to be at the top of Kirkdale? They were good. Will go and check this place out. Has it been there a long time?

Can anyone recommend a RELIABLE dog walker? Need someone to walk a dog every week day in the middle of the day. The dog is old now so doesn't need an hour. When a puppy the whole hour was needed. Manages about 20 minutes now.

I like the idea of your cafe. Sounds similar to Moonbow Jakes which is a nice place to hang out - I've only been a couple of times but mean to go more! I think tenner for a lunch is a lot on a "school day"! On a weekend meeting friends though I would probably pay that for food and a drink.

I would love to see a coffee bar that opens in the evening. I'm not a commuter but early opening would be good for commuters and good for business I bet! Echo what people say about Domali - lovely food, crap service a lot of the time! Having a few staples would be good (nice sarnies, jacket potatote...

You could try the gyms at LA Fitness or Gymophobics - there may be an instructor available to do that slot.

Have mentioned on another thread, try the 2 Turkish restaurants. Have been a loyal eater at Lokal for several years and used to love the belly dancing on Saturday evening. Is it just me or do we seem to have had more than our fair share of dug up roads recently? In the past 2 years it seems to have been particularly bad - the high street, end of Silverdale, Cobbs corner, Kirkdale etc. Can anyone tell me what it's all about?

Both of the Turkish restaurants we have are brilliant. The Fez (formerly Criterion ice cream place) is particularly good value.
