Re: Child friendly pub?

Our son is 6months old. He can get cranky (he's teething which is why we look permanently tired) but I will never let him play unattended in a pub. People need to take more responsibility and install these sensibilities in their kids. I grew up in a hotel and had the free reign of the place, but as...

Re: Gipsy Hill Mother and Baby Fair this Saturday.

Mother and baby style As a mother looking at my 10 years baby girl I knew she had the potential to become a model, so I applied for the competition I had no resent photos, so I went along to Future Faces Photography studio where the staff were very welcoming, I was a bit concerned about having the ...

Re: Child friendly pub?

If I saw an adult running in a pub, or riding a scooter, or playing with a ball, I'd think it was dangerous behaviour. I'd also be amazed that anyone would think it was sensible behaviour. Only dogs should sit on the floor in the pub. This isn't about being anti-kid, it's pro-common sense. I recent...

Re: Child friendly pub?

BenChef: welcome to the Forum, we could do with a lot more dads in here! A quick word from someone who has been here for a while, if I may: sometimes arguments run for argument sake and there is no clarity on what kind of need or reason they fulfil. I think you will find many examples in the other ...

Re: Child friendly pub?

After 6 o clock I agree, but during the day on weekdays when most people are at work and a large group of mothers and fathers want to meet up I don't see it as an issue as the Dolphin is almost deserted. I don't see a "gastro" pub being a bad place to have a group of children and parents....

Re: Child friendly pub?

I was just annoyed at you being so unnecessarily unhelpful on a kids and family blog. Re: Child friendly pub?

Well they are definitely child friendly, on a Sunday lunch time I would say a least 75% of customers are there with their kids. I suppose it is a little posh but I have always found the staff halpful and polite whatever I rolled up wearing? Oh yes, I am not complaining about the staff, but just that...

Re: Antic pubs have withdrawn from the Greyhound

Sorry to read that Antic aren't taking the Greyhound, I am really quite a fan of the Westow. Has anyone heard any more about this other pub project they refered to? Surely if size were the only problem the pub that closed beside the post office would be suitable? I realise that the Dulwich woodhous...

Re: Street Drinker Violence

Yes a great idea but cannot see how it can be afforded , especially with the mess New Labour left the country in. Good Luck. Annie The couple you mention are a joke of how sick Britain has become. Do not believe that would have happened in the 50's or 60's . How does HMG let these people get away w...

Re: Street Drinker Violence

Annie and Bradford In theory your idea is good. Many employers say they are looking for staff but the schools have turned out many not fit for employment. The only employment in SE26 or commutable distance from is service industry. One has to smile and speak correctly. I know many young people not ...
