Re: Where are the best Baby clothes shops in the area

Thanks for the replies. I will try Forest Hill and Crystal Palace. I also found on t'internet that there is a fab kid's shoe shop in Brockley that also sells clothes.

As for Lordship Lane it was the first place I tried and wasn't impressed at all!!!

Thanks

Re: New to Sydenham - street questions

As a female I would choose to come home (in the dark) to Sydenham station. As previous poster said it much more open that way. But in Fairlawn Park's favour we are so near to all stations which makes for easier travel for working in town. Home Park has been much improved over the last couple of year...

Where are the best Baby clothes shops in the area

Hi all

I have to buy for two new babies in the family. One mum is very "traditional" and the other quite "funky". Can anyone recommend a nice baby shop in this or surrounding area.

Thanks

Re: Any Polish mums in the area?

I take my grandson to the Playgroup at St Phillip Neri Church hall at Sydenham Road on a Tuesday and Friday and I have noticed that there are a couple of young polish mum's that go there. Maybe worth a visit.

Activities for Babies and Toddlers

Hi all I am about to start looking after my grandson for 3 days a week when his mum goes back to work. I was wondering if any of you mum's out there know of any baby/toddler groups on a Monday/Tuesday/Friday that I could take him to. He will be 1 year old this month, so something suitable for his ag...

Re: Neo Uno

Thanks Lee. I walked up there this morning to check it out and saw that it was under new management. Got a menu from the chef (nice fellow) and saw that it was back to the Jerk Chicken, grill type food. Shame really I wished I had tried it before but as they say "you don't use it - you lose it&...

Has anybody been in there lately? Was thinking of trying it this week for a bite to eat with a friend and wondered what it was like?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Fairlawn Park Stabbing

I recently had a woman basically hold me hostage by double parking over my car, because I had dared to park outside her house. She screamed and shouted and got right into my face, with my son standing beside me. People came out of their houses to support her. I know it's a pain when people park in ...

That actually wasn't the point as to whether its common practice! The point is there must be at least 10 barbers in the high street already, thats why so many of them are advertising chairs to rent!!!

My only observation is... there is a new "gift shop" opened in Sydenham already. Just recently I have spent time walking along the high street and really looking at the shops there and also the state of the high street in general. The whole high street is in a very sorry state.. not just t...

Lee what an exciting future for Home Park!! I love the picture of the exercise facilities and how it could look. But any improvements are welcome. We have a 2nd home in Turkey and they have lots of open exercise parks there. Well done to all concerned in achieving this grant for a much needed projec...

Well done!!

Also well done to Trish for getting RA off the ground. I have to say that FP is now back to its old self ( a happy, neighbourly street)! :D

See you both on Saturday.

Sydenham Housing Market

Just done a quick review on Rightmove for the Sydenham area. Whilst Sydenham house prices seem to be holding their own there only seems to be a "handful" that are "Sold Subject to Contract" (and these at the very top end of the market). I also noted that a number of properties ha...
