Re: Packing and removals service
I have used Harradines on a number of occasions.
They are very professional and reliable, and all bits have always made it to their destination in one piece.
I found their prices reasonable as well:

Good luck with the move!

Re: Cycling course
Thanks for all your helpful advice.
I will see how I get on over coming weeks, and look into some of the clubs that have been mentioned.
Some lovely riding weather coming up this week!

Re: Cycling course
Good afternoon, Thank you for your responses, they are greatly appreciated. I am training for a half-ironman (two actually), and have previously cycled the End-to-End, but have been limited to only cycling at the gym of late. I see the Dulwich riders out quite a bit, and am tempted to get along - so...

Cycling course
I am looking for advice on a quiet cycling course - preferably out in Kent somewhere. I am training for an event, and have a car - so the plan is to drive out of London to a quiet rural area, and cycle a few laps of a 10-15 mile course early in the morning. Does anyone locally know a good route I co...

Re: Billings: Fresh never frozen?
Thanks Amar for clarifying this for me. It makes sense now, and I appreciate the prompt feedback from an operator who clearly takes pride in his business.
I really like shopping at Billings, and the meat has always tasted amazing.
Keep up the good work!

Billings: Fresh never frozen?
Last Friday, I bought some burgers from Billings (among some steaks and sausages) and took them home and placed them in the fridge for a BBQ on the Saturday. When I went to cook them for my guests, I noticed they were a bit frozen - and owed this to the settings on fridge we just adopted. Today, my ...

Old photos of Sydenham
Good afternoon, I have recently moved to the area, and am already fascinated by the history of Sydenham. I just finished reading the post about Crofton Lodge and think its an amazing story. Its nice to see someone able to trace the history back so far (and meet the family); and what a great effort b...

Re: Welcome to new members!
Good afternoon, My wife and I are moving to Sydenham this week with our young daughter. We are really looking forward to it, as Sydenham seems very understated and a great place to bring up a family. I am from Australia originally, lived a few years in North London and then moved to East Dulwich in ...
