Re: YuVape

I don't smoke and I have zero interest in vaping shops, but I've noticed quite a few popping up all over the place, e.g. Clock House, Bromley, etc. Seems to be the in thing!

176 bus

Some weeks back there was a discussion about proposed cuts to the 176 bus service. TFL have just announced that from 3 June " to better match how often buses run with demand for them, we have changed the frequency - Mon to Sat daytime buses will run every 10 minutes (with additional peak time e...

Re: Lovely bit of old pub signage uncovered in Lower Sydenha

Yes I noticed this. It looks great, and so nice that the new owner (?) is restoring it. It's where the Bob Porecha BMW specialist was,
Wonder if anyone here knows the history of the place......?

Would be good to see something positive happen to those 3 shops.
I see the shop at the end of that block on the corner of Watlington Grove has been done up and looks as if it might be occupied again.

Re: Sydenham Green Group Practice

Dickp....... yes you can book appointments online, but generally they are for dates 2-3 weeks ahead. If you are lucky and try during the morning, you might find you can get a slot for that afternoon, though that is quite rare.

Re: Sydenham Green Group Practice

It used to be such a good surgery, but in the last year it is now really awful. It is madness to release all the appointments at 8am and expect people to phone for them because of course you can't get through. And if you do eventually get through, all the appointments have gone. Why can't they let p...

New shops in lower Sydenham

I see there is a new dog grooming shop and next to it a new (?) general "sweet shop" in Lower Sydenham, across from the library and down on the next block. And the new flats on the next block seem nearly ready, so things are happening in that neck of the woods.

Re: Incident at Penge McDonalds

I've also been searching online to see what happened. When I got caught up in the traffic jam outside McDs, there were 9 police cars and vans and another on its way, then the emergency medical car arrived. I was told by Greggs staff that they had been told it was a stabbing inside McDs. But the medi...

Re: 176 bus to be cut in November

Sometimes the 176s are quite frequent, other times you wait forever. The one good thing about them is they are 24 hour, so at least you can get back to Kirkdale late night.
