I would have been there too if the idiots at bromley council hadn't put the display time at 6:30 pm on their website, rather when they actually did happen. It certainly sounded very impressive.

agree with soulfood that dulwich, crystal palace and sydenham hill are much nicer than sydenham itself (but are all within 2 miles). crystal palace and forest hill have better bars and pubs than sydenham. you can enjoy "local places" without subjecting yourself to cheap dime (?)stores, bur...

For saying they're plannning knock it down in a couple of years, the LDA are spending a lot of money doing it up.

lived here for two years. very quiet apart from during the school rat run. pleasant stroll to the the park and not too far from the station.

the rest of the park opens early to provide access to the pool - the sydenham gate opens at about 6:45am most days.

Not that they have told anyone, mind you! Even the 8am regulars weren't aware of this development.

Now, finally, those of who work in the centre of town have a realistic chance of a relaxing swim without frantically having to rush around in the morning.
