Re: Budgens
Sorry, I don't have time to read through all the posts but does anyone know what will happen to the site? We have been here ten years and its the first time we have been without a medium-sized 'decent' supermarket in that time. I know we are lucky to have PFC, Lidl and Tesco but there are some thing...

Re: Neglected areas in Sydenham
What I can't understand Chris is why they created that piazza and then did nothing to the rest of the park. It is such a shame the new paving was not continued along the 'walkway' which runs along the high street and a new wall built. More investment in Home Park, in terms of how it looks - better p...

Re: #RebuildTheGreyhound - pub to be rebuilt by April 2015?
I must admit I have not been following all this in any detail over the years but, it just occurred to me, if some glass could be put in those windows, which from a quick scan it looks like there is not, wouldn't they be a great spot for some Pop Up shops for now? I think some of the previous ones ha...

Re: SEE3- new developments
Hello, I have not posted on here for ages and have not had time to read all the responses to this but Joanne have you thought about finding out about joining the SEE3 team? - I am pretty sure it relies on local volunteers to help. I think the Gunpowder and Cherry Pie shop struggled and another down ...

Re: 140Interiors relocating to Dorset
Hi there
What are your opening hours. I popped down twice in December, during the week, and you were closed and my sister walked down to your shop a couple of weekends ago and it was shut then too. I am sure she particularly would like to pick up a bargain...
Many thanks

Re: DEAR PROPERTY WORLD
If we are going to name and shame businesses for adding to the general rundown feel of our high street would anyone join me in putting pressure on Lloyds bank about the swathe of weeds outside their branch at the top of Venner Road? I have written to them before about this and from time to time the ...

Re: Deal to forward fund £60m Sydenham retail park collapses
Lordship Lane has absolutely tonnes of trees, I counted them once. I think between 50-100. Beckenham high street also has a lots of planting. Architecture and trees go hand in hand in my opinion. They don't have to be enormous trees, they can be kept small so you can still see the lovely architectur...

Re: Deal to forward fund £60m Sydenham retail park collapses
RodTaylor, there are lots of people around during the day in Sydenham that would use quality shops. They are just not visible because there are not enough on the high street to attract them there in the first place! Stay at home mums and dads or part-time parents would love to have a decent shoe sho...

Neither am I a fan of hanging baskets but they are better than nothing. We are paying for them out of the community fund and they are not there! Strange.... I have ranted on here many times about alternatives (and been in touch with people who might have been able to help) to no avail... I am all fo...

Festival arts in the park day
Just wanted to say what a great afternoon we had, despite the weather! Great music (especially Randolph Matthews) food, (Coriander Club), and workshops - animation particularly. There was a lovely atmosphere and although we only intended to go for a couple of hours we ended up staying all afternoon. P

Does anyone know if the Town Centre Steering Group got the £1,500 it was asking for at the Sydenham Assembly Fund meeting? We really need it!!! Haven't been to the high street for a few days but last time I was there there were still no hanging baskets, Penge has had theirs for ages...Surely June is...

Agree Scarpetta. Quality businesses need to cluster and then hopefully their success will spread along the high street.
140 don't even seem to have a proper website which is shame and missed marketing tool I think!
