Re: rubbish outside penge station
I would suggest the FixMyStreet app is a much better way to report. I’ve always had good success with It and that way it generates a data log that can identify repeat issues and help prioritise work efforts

Re: Social distancing on the High Road
Good to hear a more positive perspective.
I did actually walk down today (to walk through to Mayo) and most people seemed conscious / wearing masks and keeping their distance

Re: Social distancing on the High Road
That’s really quite worrying to hear.
What makes people so thoroughly ignorant and inconsiderate?
Thank you for sharing, I shall also continue to avoid until I hear better reports

Re: PFC Penge Food Centre Sydenham Road
Maybe I had bad luck then, as I bought some sausages from there and they were decidedly average in quality. I used to buy mine from Villagers in Beckenham (although I don’t eat sausages often, it must be said). It actually put me off buying more meat there, so interesting that others seem to really ...

Re: Bell Green Travis Perkins
I personally felt that it was fairly obvious that if the gas holders went, a more Industrial / retail style use of the space would follow and traffic would increase. It is a good spot for a Travis Perkins now that it is being cleared. So I wouldn’t say I was overly happy, but neither am I at all sur...

Re: LEWISHAM COUNCIL PLANNING ENFORCEMENT DESPAIR
Further update. Stroma withdrew their application in Dec 2018 as they agreed that building control had been breached.
This reverted back to Lewisham Council.
Stroma also reported it to HSE.
So indeed the problem now sits with Lewisham Council.
I have now tweeted Lewisham Council and Ellie Reeves...

Re: LEWISHAM COUNCIL PLANNING ENFORCEMENT DESPAIR
Update My error - Stroma haven’t acquired the freehold but it looks like they may have acquired the building control responsibility (a merger / acquisition or similar)I’m not entirely sure but they found no. 7 on their books and are going to email me or call me back. Spoke to a chap called John who ...

Re: LEWISHAM COUNCIL PLANNING ENFORCEMENT DESPAIR
A slight aside, but I had dealings with Stroma about 8 years ago (it was related to commercial energy management), so I’m guessing the Greendoor lot have perhaps sold the business to Stroma and perhaps Stroma didn’t do their due diligence, ahead of that acquisition. As tenant you are stuck, whilst t...

Thanks admin. I saw an awful post and chose not to respond. I will now... The photos of the suspected perpetrators are excellent. I hope that their family and friends encourage them to confess before they are caught, because they clearly will be identified. They will have a fighting chance of workin...

Re: Crash on Sydenham Road
This happened to my sister once on the M20 motorway. It was a good few years ago, and an old car, but it it did just ignite whilst she was driving - Suddenly she couldn’t see anything for the smoke, and pulled over. Thankfully a gentleman pulled over too and told her to quickly get out. In her case,...

Re: Cox's Walk footbridge
Well possibly because gov officials cannot always be trusted, particularly in recent years when under so much financial pressure. I’ve signed, as it helps to ensure the detail is flushed out; and I guess in doing so, I’ve trusted those that have bothered to put the petition together, to have reasona...
