If anyone sees a traffic warden, ask him to put several tickets on it, then we wait to see what happens. On Monday perhaps someone can pop into the bank to see if they will make a formal complaint to the council...also the Estate Agents.

Thanks Biscuitman I think I understand the need for a proper and worthy restoration, but again I ask, why are there not more people doing this restoration...and why not working at least 7-8 hour days 6 days a week like most have to? PAINSTAKING doesn't even come close to describing this whole proces...

Luckily we don't seem to have a pigeon,seagull or crow problem in Sydenham...probably afraid if getting served up in our various "chicken" shops...

Went past it today, no sign of any life at all...unfortunately.

There are a number of issues on this board which need answers from our councillors who are conspicuous by their absence...come on ... please have the decency to let us know you care.

I was looking at some old pictures of Sydenham and noticed how lovely the high street looked with matching awnings all the way down. We have the advantage of a dead straight road with beautiful Victorian buildings above the shops. All across London, the nicest shopping areas have brought them back.....

Any idea on how long this will actually take? Are there any experts who can comment on whether they are moving at sufficient pace and using enough resources. The restoration is "delicate" (is it?) and H&S issues abound (do they still?) but we are not restoring the Sistine Chapel here.....

Lewisham, ask yourselves, would the is still be there in Richmond, Kingston, Or even the squares in Bromley?

Nice picture, shame about the monstrosity behind it. Pity they didn't "accidentally" knock those awful flats down....as I said Architect should be jailed as well as the planning officer who allowed it.

Has anyone else noticed the huge container bin full of raw bones with flesh still attached that is sometimes there in the morning. It stinks in this hot weather...probably diseased and a health hazard for people passing (especially school kids)

For Gods sake, I hope not retail. We need the top end of Sydenham to be our magnet to attract visitors so eating and drinking would be my priority. It would also hopefully complement the Greyhound development.
