Re: Night of Mediumship & Clairvoyance

Please explain this "big difference" if I were to come away from either event happier? Mosy, there is a big difference to HB. He doesn't agree with mediums charging for a psychic event. That's about the strength of it really! I'm not personally that bothered either way, like yourself neit...

Re: Night of Mediumship & Clairvoyance

Then the entertainers should be made to say so. They are making claims of superpowers and using those claims to make money. It is fraud, pure and simple. This is no cultural drift towards intolerance. Fraud is already illegal. There are many who believe that most religions are based on fraudulance,...

Re: Night of Mediumship & Clairvoyance

Admin should remove the post. Couldn't agree more. The Chinese have the right idea. Try opening a thread called 'Falun Gong' or 'Tiananmen Square' on an internet neighbourhood forum in a suburb of Beijing. BANG! BANG! I thought we were (rightly or wrongly?) becoming more tolerant as a society. Mayb...

This post has been on here for 2 days and no one has done the: 'Due to unforseen

Re: Egos and Agression

Yes politeness and goodwill to all is the aim. I would have thought that most posters like open and frank conversations and even a bit of a political debate at times. That said we have to appreciate that views may clash or even be in total opposition at times, I believe that this (for me at least) ...

Re: Egos and Agression

Try not to worry about the unnecessarily compllcated words that some use on here, because it really doesn't make anyone bigger or better! Most of us haven't a clue what they're on about anyways because we only speak plain English, it's still the best way of expressing yourself! All points of ...

And still shows no remorse. Disgusting. I find it interesting more than disgusting. Does he show no remorse because he genuinely doesn't think he did anything wrong? Many abusers don't. Good point Rachael, he looked confused about the whole thing. Maybe he doesn't fully understand the effect his ac...

Re: Sticky music thread

Music and singers are ever changing and new things develop with the times, obviously not always to everyones taste. All in the name of progression (and commercial interest) I suppose. Vocal attributes and dynamics are judged very differently now but, I believe some good young singers are constantly ...

Re: Sticky music thread

Enjoyed the orchestral intro, then the singing started! All seems a bit tame now against all the spectacular light shows, acrobatics and glitzy media coverage. Who'd have thought that guy with a beard and in a dress with make up could have won it this year, did have a brilliant voice though! W...

Re: Sticky music thread

Liked the opening bars, until the sax (?) cut in. Thanks Robin, it's all a very feely sort of ambient thing really. All recorded via sequencing from a single keyboard, a Korg Triton, the same as the one that I experiment with myself, although I would really struggle to achieve what Tiffany does. Th...

Thought some of you might enjoy this: [youtubes]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6MSmmeDiY9I[/youtubes] Notice the play on words/names here which wasn't entirely intentional as I do enjoy Tiffany Lunn's music, which she writes most of herself. I know that she is not a particularly well known musician...

It is lovely in same Homecroft Rd , where the front gardens are too short , and the gardens are still there. Victorian and Edwardian houses do not look right with front gardens turned into concrete jungle. Of course: We could go back to a time before cars when horses used to leave huge deposits in ...

Re: Chipped bath

By the sound of it - it would be an enamel coated bath then. You could do this yourself but area to be painted must be free of rust which can settle in fairly quickly (so small piece of sandpaper to clean chip). You would be best to prime first (white primer & artist size brush). When primer has...

Looks as though they are mainly proposing to load Linux operating systems
alongside the present (Windows?) os. There is no license fee for Linux so free
to install.

Re: Smoking outside hospital.

I agree Bradford although hopefully any drunks near A and E would be arrested. Often not arrested unless things get 'really' out of hand, witnessed this so many times! Something that does not happen to smokers. Arrest would be a bit overkill especially if they are still in their Jimmy-jams and dres...

Re: Smoking outside hospital.

I think that smokers hanging about outside hospitals is tasteless when it is the cause of so many illnesses. Yes Michael, of course it's tasteless to anyone against smoking which I would certainly not encourage.. However why not take the same view with the drunks causing havoc in (and outside) A&am...

Re: Smoking outside hospital.

As an ex smoker (but ocassional vaper) I know full well how much a smoker NEEDS that fag when stressed! Control the enviroment used by all means, such as a shelter as Mary suggests, but totally banning is a few steps too far imo for smokers who do still have some rights (even if limited ones).. Ref ...
