Recommend local hotels /B&Bs?

Can anyone recommend a local hotel or B&B? We'd need a few nice rooms for family and friends coming to our wedding in August. A few places I've driven past in Crystal Palace look uninviting...but maybe they are fine on the inside! Please PM me if need be. Thanks.

Do we really need another pub? If there is pressure on the other pubs, what are they lacking that a new pub could potentially provide? Personally I don't think we need another pub, although I don't have a suggestion as to what the building could provide.

Changing Doctors

I've found Wells Park Surgery to be good. Online appointments, nice, polite staff. I use the baby clinic which is fine and the midwife there was fab.

Can you recommend a childminder?

Hi
Can you recommend a childminder? I'm looking for someone from March to look after our 9 month old full time, in Sydenham or Forest Hill. Ofsted registered etc. I've ruled out the nurseries and if anyone can help I'd be soooo grateful!
Thank you.

Baby Massage

Thanks for the replies - I'll try the link.
Bensonby - I've heard loads of good things about baby massage from lots of mums - relaxation, bonding and of course meeting other mums with babies of similar ages, so am willing to give it a go. And if my baby cries less, then WOW!!!

The Fitting Studio - on TV!

I'm not a fan of WAGS and I must admit switching off "Coleen's Real Women", but i was REALLY pleased to hear that Kyra, the owner of The Fitting Studio on Dartmouth Road (fantastic bra fitting shop for big bosomed women) will be on TV fitting bras for the 10 finalists in the programme this...

Milkman wanted

Does anyone know of an alternative to using Dairy Crest milk deliveries? we have been using them for the past 6 months or so and their service is pretty bad. We don't have a car so don't buy milk at the supermarket and i'm keen on the green way of having a bottle rather than glass.
Any suggestions...?

Allotments

You can contact Lewisham council via their website and ask to be placed on the waiting list. You supply your preferred three allotments in the borough and they add you to the list. They contact you when one becomes available. Slight problem...the list for some of the allotments in Sydenham is 2.5 - ...

advertising - should we allow it?

YES. definately for individuals and small businesses - like handymen, window cleaners, chiropractors - all those local trades asked about in the Town Forum that you want a recommendation for. I personally am interested in buying a 3 bed flat /house and the Forum is ideal for this kind of advert...an...

LA FITNESS

The classes are fairly good and there's a good range of them. Some of the instructors are great but others are poor. The staff are friendly and the people who attend the gym are locals and I've got to say are LOVELY (try going to the sauna on a saturday afternoon - you chat to everyone!!). Also the ...

East London Line Extension

I was really shocked to read that the train services from Sydenham and Forest Hill could be reduced to accomodate the East London Line! The commute is bad enough as it is in rush hour. I already choose to catch earlier trains to avoid the crush at Forest Hill, and of course it's worse at Honour Oak ...
