These developers such as British Land, lend lease etc are better resourced and employ cleverer people than the local councils. They probably have better lobbying power than individual local authorities and most likely the GLA too.

Download excel spreadsheet and filter to Sydenham. looks to me like 2.5 million entery and exits at Sydenham station for 2010-11 and 2.9million for 2011-12.

I think it may have stood on the site of the met Police buildings Eagle. I'm not sure if it was taken down in the 70's or earlier now. I did see that image in a local history book once but haven't been able to track it down.
