Re: Be frank : would you say that city safe ?

London is of course a major city with the same crime issues of any other major European city. However, I have been for...

Re: Sydenham in the Standard tonight
I never read the Standard. Ever. But I picked one up that night without knowing and did a doubletake. I was a bit surprised by some of the things focused upon and some of the things omitted actually. Odd

Hello!
Perhaps an alternative to a directory might just be another board that parents/ carers/ grandparents can update themselves..?
Given the cuts, things are changing all the time - a directory may be difficult to administer..?
But, it's a great idea, Maria

Re: Primary Schools?
This is a problem that is starting to give me a headache as we live on LPR and have a young daughter. I'm fairly convinced we will have to move for schools. Such a shame

We are all entitled to our opinion. Mine regarding Alhambra however, differs utterly from that of the poster and - quite by coincidence - I was in there today for the first time in quite a while. Isn't it funny how we all react to things differently, but without having even seen this post I was actu...

Re: Ring O Roses
I absolutely hated that black sign and the dreadful Star-trek themed 80s disco signage... I actually dont mind the orange on cream. It is an improvement on the silver. But just affixing onto the black paintwork (which I loathed when they did it) is dreadful. I really hope they are repainting the fro...

My dad was a policeman in the 60s, latterly a PHD criminologist He will happily tell you that the stats on police actually coming upon a crime (even back then) are about once every seven years and that it's dependance on public information that solves crime I dont know if this is accurate. My dad ta...

Re: Would you volunteer to tutor disadvantaged young people?
I'd be happy to help although the time slot might prove problematic (not working at the moment but no intention of being long term unemployed) I worked as a volunteer reader support in schools with my last employer (had a CRB then but dated 3 years ago). I thought a CRB could only be undertaken by t...

This would be fantastic in my humble opinion. Manor House is lovely and the cafe there excellent. Would CPP have a cafe deserving of such a brilliant park.
