Re: Scaffolding
Multisync, I think most of the scaffolding in the Wells Park Road area are on properties acquired by L&Q from Lewisham council and are being renovated. It looks to me like they've done a good job of the buildings where the scaffolding has come down.

Hi Stuart, there was a shop around where you mention, I think it was Ken Bird Cycles.

Re: Why is there a lot of new graffiti on Sydenham High Stre
I saw the DIY wall in progress and thought it looked good. Not seen others yet in Sydenham, but there are several recent additons in Forest Hill - shutter's on Aga's Deli and The Butchery (was a pop-up now permanent due to the success they had - congratulations), and a Horniman's inspired walrus rep...

Re: Speed Camera
Hi Baz, There are two speed cameras on Westwood Hill already either side of the road near Sydenham High School, one on Sydenham Hill between the mini roundabout and Dulwich Woodhouse; and another on Crystal Palace Parade. I can't see the council (or camera partnership or whoever is in charge of them...

Re: Billings Fishmonger and NOW BUTCHER!
Just a quick thumbs-up to Billings butchers for the beef and turkey they supplied for Christmas (and cooking suggestions!) and the festive bangers we had with friends on Christmas Eve - great quality food and a decent price I thought.
Will be back early in 2012.
Merry Christmas!

Re: New bakery in Kirkdale
Now that the bakery has been open a while, I just wanted to comment what great bread we've been getting from them - really good prices too. Croissants have been going down well too.
Definitely worth giving them a try if you haven't already.

Re: Bus Stop - Customer Info/Bus Countdown - Cobbs Corner
Off course there might be a good reason but I would be interested to know? They let you know how long you can expect to wait for your service to arrive!? You may have used a similar thing when waiting for a train, airplane, boat.. [ Post made via Mobile Device ] http://sydenham.org.uk/mobile.png

Bus Stop - Customer Info/Bus Countdown - Cobbs Corner
At last, Cobbs Corner bus stop is to get a bus arrival countdown board - so annoying when you can't see a bus which is merely 20 seconds away, then start walking instead... Other bus stops being upgraded in Lewisham can be found on p43-44 of the attached: http://www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/corpo...

Great to see another shop I would want to use opening on this stretch of Kirkdale (rather than a chicken shop!). Look forward to trying it out.

Re: Greyhound to be run by owners of East Dulwich Tavern, et
This is great news - I think Antic were the same people who bought the site next to the DIY store opposite the Greyhound to build a bar. Pleased to see they have been able to make use of the refurbed Greyhound site instead.

Re: Help with nightmare neighbor
McGinty, best of luck with getting this sorted for your mother. I've thankfully only had to deal with nightmare neighbours once before (about 5 years ago), so I fully appreciate how stressful the situation can be and what a difference it makes if you have a-holes affecting your home life. Good luck!...
