Re: New yoga studio?

Having two studios visible on the High street will create more interest, and remind people about trying it out. Classes in gyms and halls are brilliant, but they don't necessarily act as an awareness campaign. Compared to other parts of London there is great room to expand, but if I was investing my...

Re: The Monstrosity - ie St Philp Neri school building

Thanks JGD, there are a couple more photos up, so do copy anything that is out there. This is a call to arms for all the armchair objectors to act. Go onto Twitter and like, between my posts or do your own. It is very easy, and I only started using it very recently because if another planning campai...

Re: sticky:Mural?

I checked, and the derelict signboard outside the Dolphin is owned by the pub freeholder. I have alerted them to its state, and our interest in it for a mural, and they have passed this on to the relevant person. No idea what our chances are, but at least we might see the current mess tidied up one ...

Re: The Monstrosity - ie St Philp Neri school building

OK, I have got a planning enforcement enquiry started, alerted Ellie Reeves, Liam Curran and Damien Egan. I don't want a cosy deal being struck which means we have to live with the current Monstrosity. Please join me on Twitter to keep reminding people this needs sorting. Search #stphilipneri #se26 ...

Re: New council houses

Two comments, firstly, the block on Winchfield road is awfully close to Fairlawn Terrace, overlooking their gardens, and directly into their homes. Given the amount of available land nearby, it seems unreasonable to position an five storey tower there, especially as the slope of the land would make ...

Re: The Monstrosity

Syd and frenzerin, would it be possible to modify the thread title to include the school name? People with an interest may overlook it otherwise. I tried to contact you with direct messages, but don't think they went through.
Cheers

Re: The Monstrosity

.... and now they are demolishing the old buildings. As St Philip Neri School has had its planning permission removed, I complained to planning, copied to everyone, up to, and including Ellie Reeves. Their occupation of the site creates further breaches of planning permission, as they were obliged t...

Re: The mural designs!

It is much more accurate than no 4, which is hopelessly inaccurate, but they are all based on a photo which, given the situation has to be a wide angle image, and seems to distort the actual slope. I'd want to see one projected onto an accurate elevation of the wall, which already exist at Planning ...

Re: Planning - CAB unit change of use to restaurant

Brilliant news, and particularly that the developers are co-operation to enable deliveries and services to the CAB conversion. Wouldn't it be wonderful if a similar spirit was encouraged in redeveloping the rest of the block. The entrance slope down to Zanzibar would have made a great place for deli...
