WHO doesn't want harvester type pubs? Are you speaking for yourself or everyone on this board?
It's a matter of personal preference. YOU may want Dolphin type gastropubs everywhere, it's not to everyone's taste. What about the regulars in the Railway? Have you asked them what they want?

And whilst nork1 might not like the fact that there are more and more ABC1's moving in he/she might like to consider that it will stimulate more of what Sydenham needs such as Deli's etc. I agree,it's the area's most pressing need. I think most of the social problems experienced in Sydenham could b...

Although he does drink in The Greyhound so perhaps £shops are more in keeping with his disposable income. You're a bit quick to jump to conclusions there Greg. I drink in a variety of pubs. I was in the Greyhound yesterday. I was in the Dolphin yesterday. I was in the Railway watching Rugby on Satu...

It would be nice if the Greyhound could stay but I think its had its day, its scruffy as a gateway to the area and is dominated by a tar mac car park. Following that logic the Dolphin should've been flattened 2 years ago. Not exactly a shining beacon to most of the punters on this board was it? The...

Why would the Pub company sell a pub that was financially viable and busy and so well patronised by all the locals and used as a community focal point? Pubs are closing because lifestyles have changed and people do not use them as much as in the past. If Pubs were in such demand by the populace the...
