I`m sure I remember this couple, I was at Dacres road school in the late 50`s to 62.
Was it Mrs Lidle who had a crippled dog that she would exercise on some kind of trolley under its gammy legs?

Interesting to see the comments about Bromley council and the Park. I lived in Sydenham and Penge for 40 years; It was the view then that Bromley council considered itself "Lumbered" with Penge and Anerley and CP Park after the formation of the GLC. It particularly did not like inhabitants...

there is [was] an iron Beckenham parish boundary marker in Parish Lane opp Penge lane, I`m sure I remember others in the area, Alexandra rec ground, possibly in Mayow park, almost certainly Crystal Palace park, look for dome topped iron markers, about 6 ins wide 2ft high, stuck in odd corners

Some years ago someone or other was convinced he had found the location of the atmospheric railway under Crystal palace park, and was also convinced that some of the rolling stock had beem walled up in a tunnel
Did anything come of this?
