Re: Mayow Road vet
Hi sorry for late response. Don't have much time these days... I have used Mayow Vets for about 12 years or so now. In my opinion they are great. Tony Rogers explains everything so well. Amy too (not sure whether she is back yet) and, so have any of the others that I have seen. Reception staff are g...

Sydenham Station Platform CoffeeMan
It seems we have a new CoffeeMan - he is (well, was this morning) extremely quiet though...he looked a bit daunted this morning. How can we welcome him with 'open arms' so to speak ? Obviously he is not going to be like 'Rockfuel Man', but how can we make him feel at home and much wecolmed?, being ...

Re: Station Approach Square
I also thought they had left a space to put in a nice tree or flowers, but I was really dismayed when I saw the chap filling it in with tarmac Maybe 'someone' can put one of those wooden garden boxes on top of it??? I remain ever hopeful that it's going to look pretty

Re: Tesco Coming to Sydenham Road
I'll be the one wearing a paper bag over my head when my main shopping is delivered this evening then! I do however also use the Co-Op, White's pet shop, The Cake Shop, a couple of the other shops that do all sorts of bits and bobs on the high street, Kirkdale bookshop, The Stationery Box, the News...

Outback Hair Salon
Hi there! Does anyone have any reviews re: Outback hair salon by Sydenham Station at all? I usually have my hair done 'up town' but feeling like a bit of a change. Anyone know what they are like on the colouring side of things? Thanks all. C.
Re: Tawny Owl
I think I heard an Owl this morning at about 6 ish. I thought blimey that sounds like an owl - round here? Good to know. Will keep an ear out more now.
Forgot to say, I am situated between the Sydenham Road end of Silverdale and Bishopsthorpe Road - in case that helps geographically-wise.

Re: Lost black cat in Silverdale
It could be my little one that you see mosy (she doesn't wear a collar (kept coming home without them - but she is microchipped), but then again it could be another one... To the owner: It is so worrying not knowing where your cat has got to. I really do hope that he turns up safe and well. All the ...

Re: Snowing again / Trains / Travel
Yep trains were running ok when I left 08.09 hrs this morning, although we got passed New Cross Gate just by Millwall football ground and lost power from the third rail - train then went into reverse for a while and power came back - probably about a 15 min delay all in all. Well done that train dri...

Re: How's the commute?
Whilst I do miss the fast trains up to LB (and back again), it is soooooooooooooo nice to be able to sprawl out now. Always, always get a seat - and very rarely does anyone sit next to me - gets my thumbs up - I do find it much more relaxing now :D (I am now thinking that maybe I shouldn't have said...
