Forest Hill Society is having a Burns night on Saturday. Not necessary to be a member but booking essential. Event will be at All Inn One pub 53 Perry Vale which will take bookings.

Without doubt the All Inn One, Perry Vale, Forest Hill for a traditional, reasonably priced roast. They are always packed on a Sunday, so you need to book. On the Hoof no longer does Sunday roasts; except on special occasions such as Mother''s day. Have not tried the Perry Vale for a roast, although...

The lights in that part of Forest Hill Road which is in Southwark are terrible.

I heard some time ago that it will be connected in some way with 161 Kirkdale, but will continue to be a bakery. Think there were plans for the owner of 161 Kirkdale to take over the bakery as well as continuing with 161 Kirkdale.

Things may have changed since then.

Most enjoyable evening last night. Succulent tender guinea fowl , excellent wine and cheese and lovely company. Cherry on the top was the live music.

According to Time Out, Friends of Flavours is in Crystal Palace, although actually in Penge. It is a lovely restaurant, very relaxed, excellent food and service and has just won Time Out' 's Best restaurant award for the Crystal Palace area . Tamnag Thai is not as good as it was and has two sittings...

It was 4th a short time ago.

The pavements are slippery when wet even without oil etc.

Back of Forest Hill Station and turn right, a minute or so to the right of The Perry Vale restaurant.

I seem to remember that there was a collision very recently between a coach and a minicab further along Mayow Road towards Forest Hill.

Not quite Sydenham but as close as Penge. Yet another wonderful meal at All Inn One Perry Vale. Rare, tender, roast beef, crisp potatoes and Yorkshire and properly cooked vegetables i. e. not overcooked. Four choices besides roasts including two vegetarian and calves liver and bacon £13 50 as oppose...
