Mike I agree partly although if a CPZ , for example , brought in the Lewisham side this will deter many selfish parkers as there would be limited spaces on Ponge side. Had a coffee in the Golden Lion this morning with an old friend and I have to say it was lovely. Warm, spacious with comfy seats and great coffee and croissants. They have a good breakfast menu as well and I will definitely be popping in again - I hope they keep it up.

Yes Pally I take it all back - must have been feeling a tad grumpy when I posted. I went on line on Sunday night and low and behold there were a lot more appointments and I managed to book one for Tuesday! Amazing and much happier now.

Yes I agree Nigel – pavement parking most inconsiderate and annoying. Almost as annoying as pedestrians walking the length of Peak Hill Gardens, in the middle of the road coming from and going to the station. They obviously don’t realise that the pavement is for pedestrians and the road is for cars.
