Had an air ambulance helicopter buzz very low overhead, I guess heading to land in the direction of Home Park? Anyone know what the incident was?

Re: 5 year anniversary
Moved here in July 2007, after looking for a flat to buy in Mitcham and not liking what was on offer and a friend suggested Sydenham, my response was where?

Re: Can't believe it - 278 Kirkdale's been sold
Just seen this site listed for sale on an auction website / trade press. http://www.a-r.co.uk/current-auction/lot-details?LotID=679063&au=&LotNumber=81&LotNumber=20130219 Will be interesting to see if it gets bought, plans get stuck to, or it remains boarded up and untouched and constant...

Re: BT super-fast broadband, Sydenham gets a look in
I upgraded to Plus Net fibre optic service on Monday and what a difference! Went from a 4 meg line to an average of 65-69 meg. I suspect there's not many users in the Lower Sydenham area at the moment, so the network speed is great.
Enjoying it whilst it lasts.

Re: RIP DYLON FACTORY
There was an ad for this in the property publication Estates Gazette, on the 10th November, being marketed by one of my clients. This was the text: Former Dylon Works, Worsley Bridge Road, London SE26 5HD Opportunity to pre-purchase 149 units in a high quality designed scheme in London ■ Located Imm...

Re: The Greyhound
Good overview biscuitman1978, fingers crossed the planning permission goes through and they get the pub up and running asap, especially with that large crack above the right hand side front window that developed after they rebuilt it. Do hope that the Antic Group could be brought back in to run it? ...

Re: 255-269 Sydenham Road - Planning Application
I was wondering the same, any news out there? I live two roads down from the row of terrace houses, so get a chance to see what is going on when walking to and from the station on my way to work each day. The only things that have recently happened is some service companies working round the back of...

Re: Road closures for Torch Relay
I think any info's going to be a bit general, but each council that is involved in the relay gets full support from Locog to give as much information as possible for local residence. (always useful having a friend who works for Wandsworth council leisure management to get info on this). Bromley have...

Re: Will you use the new Greyhound Pub?
Will certainly give the new pub a try, Sydenham is in need of better pub diversity. I was also struck by how much surrounding areas have changed, from drinks with friends in Crystal Palace and Forest Hill. I've recently ventured out to the the Dulwich / Peckham areas and found some great pubs round ...

Re: BT super-fast broadband, Sydenham gets a look in
Just had a fresh nose on the BT broadband website and my Sydenham postcode has just had the BT Infinity availability date put back from 30-June, to 30-September from today funnily enough.
They seem far from super-fast on upgrading the exchanges!

Re: Antic pubs have withdrawn from the Greyhound
Got a decent view of the pub rebuilding yesterday, when the 202 bus from Crystal Palace was a double decker. Pleased to see the work progressing after a bit of a lull from the basement being rebuilt. Still, they may have had to wait to make sure the new foundations were holding. Is there any further...

Re: Alexandra Park: Drain control van gets stuck in water
Not a surprise, I walked through that park on Monday evening heading to Penge East station from Lower Sydenham and it was heavily flooded in the lower corner of the park. A cyclist wizzed past and slammed on his breaks when he saw the flooding, guess it would have gone beyond getting wet legs going ...

Yes I wonder about the infrastructure in Bell Green coping with the increased population. You're right there Lee, as in Tim's pics there is one of 255-269 Sydenham Road, which has been given permission back in Feb this year to be demolished for affordable accommodation. Located not far up the road,...

Hope some locals came along on Saturday to run and well done all who did or helped out. Crystal Palace Parkrun 2nd Anniversary 02.06.12
Quick heads up to those that have and those considering a 5k Parkrun, but Crystal Palace Parkrun celebrates it's second anniversary, which has been delayed by a week due to an existing event in the park and will now happen on Saturday 2nd June. http://www.parkrun.org.uk/CrystalPalace/ For those temp...

Have just looked this property up on their auction website.

Hope whoever bids has a good solicitor for the conveyancing, could be a right can of worms.
