Re: Bob Wines
That's sooooo disappointing!!! She should be promoting this kind of establishment in Sydenham. Clearly hasn't got a clue as to the type of products they sell. The other 'off licenses' sell pretty average stuff - including Super strength lager and cut price vodka. They will be a new offering to the h...

Re: Inkwa Tattoos Presents : The Gradient Art Show
Sounds fab. I'm busy but will pop in and have a peak another time.
I don't have tattoos myself but appreciate what you guys do. I think the shop always looks really nice and different and I know it's where I'd go if I chose to get inked.
I hope it goes well.

Re: Bob Wines
161 in Kirkdale and I'm almost certain Beer Rebellion on Syd high street have a selection of bottled beers, typically localism (late knight - penge, canopy - Herne hill, Brixton - !, Orbit - Walworth etc...). Sugarhill cafe also along with late nights thurs through sat - not sure if licensed to tak...
Re: Bob Wines
Yes. From my point of view I'm looking forward to a shop with a decent selection of beer too. I have to go to either borough market or Oddbins in London Bridge to get decent takeaway beer. Or I drink my own brews, of course.

Re: Cryptic message on Twitter re Late Knights/Beer Rebellio
Myself and my girlfriend enjoyed some lovely beers there last night and I ended up having a quick chat to G-Man at the bar on the merits of the Black IPA, which is great, but has a kick like a mule! Ha - yes my Friday was somewhat impacted by quaffing their Black IPA on Thursday. Great to meet you ...

Re: Beer Rebellion Opening!!
Can someone tell me what the opening hours are for the pop up in Sydenham. I plan to go today. thx! Hello Lisa They're open from midday this weekend and every weekend. I think during the week it's going to be an evening affair until they work out staffing etc. So I suspect that means from 5. G-man

What a brilliant set of posts. As someone who has just got a couple of cats this was very entertaining. Thanks Tim. I suspect your cat or you didn't find it particularly entertaining though. Glad she's safe.

Re: Beer Rebellion Opening!!
That was an excellent evening. Really good to see the Great and the Good from Late Knights and Beer Rebellion/Dispensaries. Really amazing how these guys turn a project around so quickly. Here's to hoping they stay beyond Christmas. Had some wonderful beers, including Late Knights excellent APA, and...

Re: Cryptic message on Twitter re Late Knights
@ Pally - I think you've misinterpreted what I was asking. I didn't know the See bluebell shop, never went in there. I thought that this shop was going to become a Late Knights/Berr Rebellion 'pub'. My question was about what happened to that plan? How come they're now oppening at The Market Place?...

Re: Beer Rebellion Opening!!
Very very exciting. I've been supporting it on Twitter. I really can't wait for this to open. Great news. If Sam is going to be there I'll bring the beer I owe him. Mosy: I once saw a famous (in beer circles) beer writer Melissa Cole speak about different styles of beer. She said that she says to an...

Re: Cryptic message on Twitter re Late Knights
There's a really fantastic group on facebook called the Penge Tourist Board, someone on there said it will be open in December. LK twitter feed also said similar to a few locals. It's great all this is happening. Makes me love living here again to be honest. https://www.facebook.com/groups/pengetour...

Re: Cryptic message on Twitter re Late Knights
Yes, this is super exciting. They really bring something to the high street. They're very community focussed and family focussed. I think that the addition of them with also give the Dolphin (which I like) more business, I know they were gutted when the previous Late Knights venue fell through as th...

'Big Player' I'd much rather a smaller chain or independent who knows about beer taking it over. I think it has great potential from the plans.
And dare I say it, I think the flats are okay too...

Re: RIP SYDENHAM BUILDINGS
This is rubbish! Terrible terrible news. Especially one Burghill - I love walking past that house. How can they justify demolishing it? These buildings should be saved.
What can we do about it? What are the Sydenham Society doing about it?

Re: RIP DYLON FACTORY
Agree Lee but I don't think it's just Sydenham Lee. I think it's London. Council's are so short of money they'll do anything. They can't fund cool projects like art spaces etc. Rubbish. It's a shame no-one got hold of it though. I wonder how many objections they had? Or if there was a campaign? Seem...

Re: RIP DYLON FACTORY
It's gone. A shame someone with a bit of spirit didn't get hold of it and turn it into art studios or even loft style apartments would have been pretty cool - with some social housing of course: I see a notice for demolishion of the white building on Sydenham Road too, near Sydenham Beds. Again coul...

Yes, we use Pearce and Sons. Great guys. There's a few of them, all the same family but have their own businesses. All as nice as each other.
Google them and you'll find them.
